Party on the Paseo, in it’s second year, had approximately 2,000 participants. Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to this Fiesta Safe event. UTSA student designed the Party on the Paseo poster. Departments and organizations provided educational games. UTSA Women’s Resource Center played Relationship Jeopardy. Face painting, darts, and washers were also popular activities. Much like Fiesta San Antonio events, a variety of food was offered at the event. Everything from gorditas, nachos, snow cones and sausage on a stick was free for the participants. 85% of the participants say they felt they experienced part of Fiesta San Antonio by attending Party on the Paseo. Party on the Paseo Participant Survey Student peer education organization Be A Responsible Roadrunner played an alcohol education game with participants. Roadrunners of all ages enjoy UTSA’s Party on the Paseo. Community agencies and organizations were invited to the event to educate students about their resources. Representatives report they participate because it is a great event that supports their mission. 88% of the participants say they felt more connected to the community by attending Party on the Paseo.
