SCAM WARNING
The Harlingen Police Department would like to make the public aware of a male
subject who has been posing as a Krispy Kreme Donut representative. The male
who has been identified as Daniel Lowe, is accused of accepting donations on
behalf of the Krispy Kreme Corporation in a charity scheme trying to raise money for
sick children. The Harlingen Police Department had received information that Daniel
Lowe was seen in the area of Loop 499 entering some businesses this week. The
Mercedes Police Department currently has David Lowe in custody. If anybody has
information, or is a victim of the charity scam that Lowe presented, please contact
the Mercedes Police Department at 956-565-3102, or your local Police Department
to file the report.
