Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: 1. Understand the methods of measuring overall economic activity, unemployment, and inflation; 2. Understand the sources of fluctuations in GDP, unemployment, and inflation; 3. Identify and use sources of macroeconomic data; 4. Understand the main economic theories of aggregate income determination; 5. Understand the basis of controversies in macroeconomics; 6. Understand the institutional arrangements for macroeconomic policymaking; 7.
