As you are going to find out (if you haven't already), My Power Mall is one of the most powerful business opportunities on the Internet. The concept is simple – make money while shopping on your personal Power Mall as well as from the shopping done on Malls you've given away. POWER SECRET #1: The key to success in MPM is always the same -SHOPPING. Because we give away the mall and all the tools we've created, no one makes money without shopping going on within the Power Malls. POWER SECRET #2: Adding Power Malls is important. But you can have thousands of Malls below you and not make a penny. How can that be? If people aren't shopping in their own mall (that includes YOU), no one's making any money! We have asked the leaders of My Power Mall – the MPM 10+ Club Members* -- to share their secrets. They have graciously and eagerly done so. Explore what they are doing, experiment with their ideas, and find what works for you! Be consistent and do something every day to invite people to your MPM business site. HINT: Be sure to check out the Appendix (where the links are live) for more great ideas and complete lists of websites that MPM Leaders submitted for building your business. PLEASE NOTE: Links are only live in the Appendix. Links that have complete affiliate information in the URL will benefit MPM and the One-ChildAT-A-Time program. MPM has not researched or screened all the ideas in this ebook. As a business owner that is your responsibility. We are merely presenting to you what others are doing in building their MPM businesses. *The MPM 10+ Club are MPM members who have given away a minimum of 10 Power Malls 2 101 Ways to Promote My Power Mall The first set of ideas costs nothing but time and effort. 1) Print the free MPM Invitations and Flyers and hand them out in your neighborhood. Be sure to include your phone number and address so people can call and talk to you about My Power Mall. Take them when traveling, visiting, and wherever you go! (Michael Coursey, Georgia) 2) Use Yahoo Groups and Google groups where you can find like-minded people who might be interested in getting a Power Mall. There are a lot of people out there looking for an opportunity and this is free advertising. (Larry Dull, Indiana) 3) Word of mouth (friends, family, co-workers, etc.) is one of the very best ways to promote MPM. Listen for needs people may have that MPM can address. (Dianne Bradley, Maryland) When you talk about MPM start out with a positive experience you've had: "I received a free mall with over a 1000 stores in it that saves me time and money." Or tell about an excellent purchase – even show it off – that you made on your mall. Then you might share that "the best part is MPM sends me a rebate on every purchase, and I can sure use the money!" Then send them to your MPM business site to watch the movie. Don't try to explain it. (Pam Lewis, Louisiana) 3 4) Best results are by making personal contact. Join an online community like AdlandPro and take advantage of their free offers. Send a request to other members that have similar interests and ask them to "be your friend." Most will accept your invitation, then send another message and tell them about MPM. (Curtis Greek, Pennsylvania) 5) If you have a personal website, write about MPM and put banners there! (Fiona Calleja, Malta) Some email clients host one page for you free. Use it! "It takes time, but I am trying to build this business with as little money as possible to prove to people that it can be done. Other than the purchases that I have made on My [Power] Mall the only money so far that I have spent is for the flyers and invitation cards." ~Monica Burns, MPM Member 6) Any time you hear people talking, listen for an open door. It can be anything about money, jobs, shopping, etc. so you can step up and invite them to check out a free way to make money. Hand them your Invitation Card or Business Card with your domain name or MPM business site URL on it. Don't answer any questions, tell them it's all there for them to explore. This takes the pressure off of them since you aren't trying to sell them anything. (Tim Collier, Indiana) 7) Place free classified ads with your local online paper and college paper. (Robin Hancock, Illinois) People are always looking for something that's free, and what's better than MPM? 4 8) When sharing My Power Mall, use the term "Free SignUp" which gives anyone, anywhere the opportunity to have their own shopping mall. Help people understand that shopping on their mall is vital to their success. Don't think for a minute that you can be a success with My Power Mall unless you believe in it whole-heartedly and are making as many purchases as you possibly can on your own mall. Utilize the free tools we have to communicate. Don't be shy – spread the word and remember it takes anywhere from 7-12 contact attempts on average to get your foot in the door with your prospect. (Michael Cauley, Florida) 9) Email all your business contacts, especially those you know have a desire to start a business, already own a business, or are business minded. (Don't exclude ANYONE, but start with your business contacts.) Start off by sending out a little note asking permission to send them information about an exciting new concept you've discovered. (Sherry Goode, New York) 10) Share MPM by sending a "reply" to all of your incoming email including spam. (Gina Edwards, Georgia) 11) Don't try to reinvent the wheel. Use the tools available. When you're out and about, pass out invitation cards or flyers to cashiers at the grocery store or the "bag boy." Do this everywhere you go: sporting events, restaurants, the beach, chamber of commerce after hours business card exchanges or breakfasts, the movie theater, literally everywhere you go. Just hand them a business card or flyer. (Barry Adelson, Florida) 5 12) Create a welcome email for everyone who signs up under you. Include advertising information (free and paid) along with links to helpful articles. Include your Instant Messenger ID so they can reach you faster than email. ☺ (Alicia Bodine, New Jersey) 13) When you send out an invitation via email give just enough information to get people curious. Always include a link to your MPM business site. Send invitations out about every two weeks. Realize this may be simple, but it isn't easy. However the long term benefits are good. Have long term goals to keep yourself focused on the positives so you won't get discouraged when people don't sign up. (Tom Howle, Alabama) 14) Flyers, flyers, flyers – keep them in your car, all your bags (or purses), even you kids' school bags because you never know when you'll need them. Hand them out, post them on bulletin boards at schools, supermarkets, hair and nail salons, restaurants, etc. (get permission first). (Latasha Modeste, New Jersey) 15) People join people, so develop relationships. It can be as simple as a handshake and a smile, but people will be drawn to MPM because they are drawn to you. Then invite them to your website. Also, once you have people on your team, work with the willing. Don't try to build someone else's business for them, but help those who are trying. You might buy them domain names, show them social networking sites like MySpace.com, Me.com, Yuwie.com, Facebook and others. (Fernando David, Florida) 6 16) Write articles about shopping and home and making and saving money, and distribute them through free outlets such as EzineArticles.com and Xomba.com. These articles can include a link to your MPM business site and they stay active for months to years. You don't have to be a professional writer. All you need is a point of view and a passion to introduce people to the wonderful benefits of having their own Power Mall. (Arthur Levine, New York) 17) Slide your MPM business card part way into the credit/debit slot of the gas pump. Most gas stations now have outdoor "credit card" machines in the pumps. So the next person who comes along will remove your business card and have it in hand in order to insert their credit or gas card. (Ken McDougal, Jr., Florida) 18) Join lots of networking sites. This is time consuming, but as you cultivate online friendships, people take you seriously. Share your shopping experiences. Saving money is always a good tool, and with the rebates, well that's just extra incentive. (Dawn Anderson, Arkansas) DirectMatches is an online "matchmaking system" that helps people locate everything from business contacts to job opportunities to dating by connecting people who are actively looking for what you might have. (Larry Dull, Indiana) 19) Be yourself. Don't try to pretend you know it all. If you believe in MPM people will catch your enthusiasm. Duplicate – duplicate. The site given to you is what you show people. You don't have to know everything or answer questions. Read everything in your back office over and over again. Read Ginny's Updates. Don't expect others to hold 7 your hand. Initiative is what will get you moving forward. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is a solid business. Set goals and do what it takes to reach them. (Stephanie Birkhead, Missouri) 20) If English is a second language for you, translate portions of the website, the business cards, Invitation Cards, and other MPM resources and send to others who speak your language. (Gabriel González Chacón, Spain) 21) Use Safelists (particularly credit-based safelists) to promote MPM in a no-cost or low-cost way. (Michael Coursey, Georgia) "The one major thing I do is that I belong to a lot of forums and I advertise My Power Mall in my signature with the link to my mall. I also do this with all my emails." ~Christine Connor 22) Send out emails to everyone in your email address book. Invite them to look at, and join, MPM. Provide them with a link to your MPM business site. (Dianne Bradley, Maryland) Send out multiple emails with the same subject line spaced a few days apart. Then use the same email body but change the subject line. (Willis Brown, Texas) 23) Leave your MPM business cards or invitation cards at the restaurant with the tip. (Robin Hancock, Illinois) 8 24) Keep a daily list of your activities. Use a small spiral notebook and keep track of what you're doing. Refer to it often to make sure you're not repeating something that you've tried before that didn't work. "Activity Counts" but make sure it's activity that is moving your MPM business forward, not just busy work. (Paula Martin, Michigan) 25) Use your personal email address as your business address for MPM so you have a better chance of getting through spam filters. There's no doubt who the email is from. Address the person by name whenever possible, and include their name in the Subject Line as well. Include a full signature-brief autobiography plus your phone number at the bottom of each email. (Brad Gerver, Arizona) 26) Invite 4 or 5 friends or family members over for coffee or tea. Introduce MPM by having them watch the video. Show them all the stores and how the mall works. Mention how convenient this is for busy people and college students who love to shop online and need extra income. High school students can have their own mall, too, to help raise money for college (or whatever) and they can promote their malls on their My Space and My Face pages. (Nancy DePietro, New York) Have your laptop and an Internet connection available so people can sign up right then and there. Have light refreshments and provide a free gift (like an MPM magnet). Be sure to have information (flyers, Invitation Cards, etc.) for people to take home if they aren't ready to sign-up. Make sure you get everyone's email address who comes to your informal get together. (Heidi Garis, Pennsylvania) 9 27) Use your favorite search engine to find free leads. Here are a few: listbandit.com, simplerleads.com, tripleyourlist.com. A word of caution: not all "free" sites are really free. Sometimes the only thing that is free is the actual signing up and everything else requires payment. (Kari Young, Pennsylvania) 28) Take advantage of the free networks online. One such network is SaleSpider.com and is so huge it won't matter how many MPM members use it. It is free to sign up and you can add MPM to any network. You can also place free classified ads. (Mary & Ed Johnson, Arizona) 29) Never underestimate your signature line. It is a very powerful tool. Use it in all your email messages including a banner or a link to your MPM website. If you belong to forums and they allow it, make sure to put your MPM website in your signature. (Larry Dull, Indiana) Consider putting something like this in your signature (or as a P.S.): A Special Fr.ee Gift Just For You (then add your domain name or MPM business site URL) (Margaret Carey, California) Use sentences like "The 1st Online Business 100% Free" under your name. People will ask about it which makes it very easy to talk about MPM. (Gabriel González Chacón, Spain) Put lots of information about yourself in your signature. Let people know you are a real person. (Brad Gerver, Arizona) "I am planning to start a paid ad campaign in snail mail newsletters soon. I am also planning to send MPM flyers to a list of opportunity seekers. I have given away over 50 malls so far by using free ads and free forums and free traffic exchanges on the Internet." ~Barbara Cutajar 10 30) Make a flyer (preferably in color if possible) with tearoff tags at the bottom that have your domain URL on them. Put them up on laundry bulletin boards and other public places (get permission first). Check back periodically to replenish or replace the flyer. (Helen Resnick, Nevada) 31) Go to a public place with a Wi-Fi (wireless) connection so you can SHOW people the MPM opportunity when you get a chance over a conversation. (Michael Coursey, Georgia) 32) Look for sites that offer FREE online classified ads. A great site is classifiedsforfree.com because once you have your original ad in place (takes about 30-40 minutes to place it in all the countries, U.S. states and U.S. cities), you can renew it in a matter of 5 minutes. It is the least time consuming free classified website I have found. (Lindsey McCaffry, Indiana) If you are posting ads, you'll need to track them since you'll be posting in lots of sites. A simple, free tracking site is SelectTrackerPro.com. (Joe Mina, Florida) 33) Go through all the business cards you've collected over the years and call, write or email them. (Julia Luton, Kansas) Entrepreneurs are usually open for additional streams of income. 34) Advertise your Power Mall all over the Internet. Type FREE STUFF, FREE ADVERTISEMENTS, FREE SITES, etc. in your favorite search engine. (Reneé Dorval, Florida) 11 35) Use the Coop Promotion type of approach. Everyone can work this business regardless of their background, ideas or beliefs. Believe in teamwork and open the doors of your Power Mall to all. Communicate, share and work together as a team. Treat each new member as an independent franchise owner. (Michael Cauley, Florida) 36) Anytime some hands you something (a note, flyer, change for a small purchase like an ice cream cone – every other purchase should be made on your mall! ☺ ) exchange whatever it is they are handing you with a My Power Mall business card or invitation card. (Gina Edwards, Georgia) 37) Permission email is a great way to give away malls. Basically with permission emails you do a search for classified advertising through a search engine. Go to that classified site and start reading through the ads. Hit the reply button and simply ask for the advertiser's permission to send your information to them. (Larry Dull, Indiana) 38) When searching the Internet for places to put free ads, be sure to use different search engines. Each one can pull up different results. Now you have even more places to place your ad! (Regina Cintron, Florida) 39) Use catchy phrases on flyers to draw attention: Work From Home, Need Additional Income, Apprentice Wanted, $$$ Earn Additional $$$ (Barry Adelson, Florida) 12 40) When inviting someone to look at MPM, you can use wording like this: "One of my greatest joys is to give away FREE Power Malls. My Power Mall won't interfere with the business you already have, it will help you build it! I hope you will accept my FREE GIFT to you." Then give your domain name or MPM business site URL. (Holly Whitty, Arizona) "I have been operating on very limited funds and limited time but it can be done. I am a grandmother, if I can do this anyone can! I am so in love with MPM it is easy to share it with everyone. I actually have 25 people in my downline and I try to send at least one email a week encouraging them to sign up people and to SHOP. . . I try to fill them in on news from Ginny's Updates in case they have not listened to them and on any great "sales" I have come across." ~Susan Huffstutler 41) If you are a member of a social networking site, be sure to welcome newcomers as soon as you see them. Get your link out there first. There are still lots of these groups without MPM members. ☺ (Coletha Browning, California) 42) Use LinkedIn.com which is basically a MySpace for professionals. Include your Power Mall site in the Business website of your profile. The potential is there for hundreds – even thousands – of people to be exposed to your MPM link. LinkedIn.com is free to join, but also offers upgrades for additional features. (Brad Walker, Alabama) 13 43) Put a banner outside your home. (Latasha Modeste, New Jersey) 44) Start a MPM Team group on the web through a blog, forum or website (all of these are free). Share marketing ideas, information on stores, etc. Encourage MPM members to help each other. The Internet is international so you can help people no matter where in the world they live. (Fernando David, Florida) 45) If you know an owner of a business, ask if you can put up a brochure stand by the cash register. Make sure to get one that takes business cards. Return frequently to replenish it! (Ken McDougal, Jr., Florida) 46) Submit your URL to the search engines. Some of the free web submissions sites are: addme.com, accoona.com, datasoftsystem.com, scrubtheweb.com, freebyte.com, submitawebsite.com, localsubmit.com, submitexpress.com, uswebsites.com, websitesubmit.hypermart.net, searchenginesubmission.biz, submitcorner.com, ineedhits.com. (Gueler Wilkins, Germany) 47) If you own a business or other entity online with a customer relationship, you can offer your customers special incentives for signing up for My Power Mall. (I run a traffic exchange online and offer my customers a FREE PRO upgrade and advertising for signing up for a Power Mall.) (Michael Coursey, Georgia) 14 48) Join a forum and be sure to include your MPM business site in your signature. Seek out new members and welcome them to the forum. Search for topics you are familiar with and add comments. (Avoid people who are critical of others. Write their name down and do not share information with them. They tend to distort what you say and can cause problems.) When you find a topic you're good with, enter and compliment the person, express your opinion without offending anyone. Be soft and sympathetic, "I've done that and really got burned, I know how you feel." Share how you overcame your obstacle, how you found a way that works, and that you'd be willing to share if anyone's interested. Invite them to PM you. Send people to your MPM business site. (Kenneth Kokata, Hawaii) Join forums you are passionate about. Consider joining forums in other countries! Build a rapport with people and be enthusiastic and positive. (Carolyn DeCastro, New Jersey) "I am not a pro at selling, or even giving anything away. I share the news about the mall with the VIP cards and send emails, and talk to folk. I am still pushing on and sharing, because I know it works, and I will not stop." ~Betty Steinbacher 49) When going through a drive through (fast food, espresso, laundry, etc.) ask the clerk if they would like to earn some extra money. Tell them it won't cost them a dime and the potential is huge if they're willing to put some work into it. Then hand them one of your Invitation or Business Cards. (Lee Seats, Pennsylvania) 15 50) Set up a My Space page just for MPM. (Nancy DePietro, New York) There are groups, forums, classifieds, and other places where you can advertise on My Space. (Lindsey McCaffry, Indiana) 51) Park your car on or near a college/university campus and talk to students passing by. Ask: "Excuse me, do you ever do any online shopping?" Or "Would you like to earn rebates on all your online and offline shopping?" If they are receptive or curious at all, hand them an invitation. (Helen Resnick, Nevada) 52) If there is a great sale on MPM, post it in one of the groups you belong to or write a blog about it. Highlight Restaurant.com or GiftCertificates.com and send people to your MPM mall to shop or sign up for their own mall. Not only will you generate sales, people will sign up. (Lindsey McCaffry, Indiana) 53) Put a sign in the back window of your car for all to see at stop signs, stop lights, stop-and-go traffic, parking lots, etc. Include your domain name and something simple like: Shop, Save and Make Money. And be sure to have Invitation Cards or Business Cards in your car at all times to hand out! (Richard Webb, Kentucky) 54) Contact web site owners (through their contact forms). You can choose web sites that are already offering different work from home or business opportunities. (Mandy D'Arcy-Evans, Western Australia) Use your local phone book and look for businesses that have web sites (and or email addresses) listed. (Debbie Allen and Kelly Durham, Kentucky) 16 55) Ask friends or relatives who have web sites to put one of your MPM banners on their site. (Tammy Martina Burks, Alabama) 56) Don't forget free radio, newspaper and TV advertising. And add new methods daily. Collaborate with your team mates wherever possible. (Wade Balsdon, South Africa) "I would like to add one thing. I would advise everyone not to use pop-up ads. In my opinion this is a big turn off and personally I wouldn't join any business that popped-up on my screen while I was looking at something else – no matter how great the opportunity was. I close them right out. This [MPM] is a great opportunity and pop-up marketing is very unprofessional in my opinion. And I'm sure others will agree." ~Kevin Prince 57) Run free ads on craigslist.org. You will need to get a domain name (these are very inexpensive) to link from (otherwise affiliate type URLs are automatically deleted). Place your ads in the "services" section under "small business" ads or they'll be flagged and deleted. You won't be able to run too many ads on the same day in too many cities. (Shelly Harris, Texas) 58) After you've given away at least ten malls, start helping those ten give away their ten. Work with the willing and make it a win-win situation for everyone. (Nancy Brett, Minnesota) 17 59) Read the newspaper for articles in which people are helping other people. Get their website, email address, phone number, address, whatever information you can find in order to contact them about MPM. (Thea Collins, Alabama) Do the same thing while watching TV (for commercials) or the nightly news. 60) Get interviewed by someone who writes for a Home Biz newsletter. Ask them if they are interested in profiling a new and exciting company that is truly free and legitimate and is registered with the Better Business Bureau. This is great free advertising! (Heidi Garis, Pennsylvania) 61) Whatever you choose to do, be consistent. Post on forums, hand out business cards and talk about MPM everywhere you go. But you've got to do it consistently, not hit-or-miss. That's the key to success. (Eileen Wheeler, Virginia) 62) Send an email to people who are advertising online and offer them MPM for free. No matter what they are currently doing, MPM can be part of their strategy for gaining financial freedom. Of course include your domain name or MPM business site URL. (Thomas & Diana Byrne, New York) 18 63) Use your Ebay "About Me" page to pique curiosity. (If you aren't already a member of Ebay, it's very easy and free to sign up.) You can cut and paste advertisements from your MPM back office or use banners or ecards or anything else that makes it look attractive and inviting. DO NOT try to sell MPM on your About Me page, just get people interested and curious. Now, under your favorite links, put a link to your MPM business page. Once you have your About Me page set up and looking the way you want it, start looking at the Ebay groups. There are thousands of groups out there that you can join. Look for ones that interest you. As you are looking, notice the date of the last posting. If it's more than a couple weeks old, it's not an active group so look for others. An active group will have people sharing their wares, just talking or even asking for help. When you first join, tell a little about yourself and what you do. Don't try to sell MPM. Just get acquainted first. You might insert a picture of the MPM logo or a banner from your back office on one of your next posts. It will arouse curiosity and someone will probably ask what it is or ask for information. Don't offer any information in the post, but send them to your About Me page and tell them to click on the link in your Favorite Links section. Ebay has a very strict rule about posting links directly to other sites. They have a 2-click rule. If a person has to click on 2 links to get where you want them, it's okay. One click is a no-no so be very careful. The more groups you join the better. Just be sure you play by Ebay's rules. (Bob Dennison, Kansas) 64) If you know people in MLM companies, share My Power Mall with them. Let them know they won't have any sign-up or monthly fees, and they'll never have to pay for anything with this awesome company! (Philip Monticciolo, New York) 19 65) Listen to Ginny because she knows what she is talking about. Study the training in the back office; take notes and apply it. Most important – make a plan, any plan, and make sure you follow it. If you are shy and doubtful, set some easy goals and track your success. (Ron Vigard, Pennsylvania) 66) Do a search on your favorite search engine for lists of organizations. For instance, type in: contact dog rescue shelters email list (then substitute charter schools, children charities, online businesses, whatever) in your search. Look for lists, for example: akc.org/breeds/rescue.cfm or animal-link.org. You're looking for lots of contact names and email addresses all on one page. You can also put a state name in your search. This saves you from searching one website at a time. Cut and paste the email address into your email, then copy/paste your email message (save it to a document so you can get to it quickly), then add the person's name or the name of the organization. (Brad Gerver, Arizona) 67) Do a 1-2 minute home video and post it on YouTube. (Robin Lynn Goddard, Kansas) "When I first signed up with MPM I was so excited about what I had found and the concept it was based upon. I immediately started contacting people that I have been in contact with in other businesses who I felt would be interested." ~Patricia Rutland 20 68) If you have an area of expertise, write up a short guide with tips and tricks as well as websites that will be helpful and hand it out to people (or give it away online). If at all possible, tie your information in to your MPM business. But even if you can't, since it's your publication, you can introduce your MPM business site complete with your domain name or Power Mall URL. (James Konechne, South Dakota) 69) Go to garage sales and visit with the people there. Ask if they do any shopping on the Internet. Hand them a card and get their email address. If they say they don't shop online, ask if they know anyone who does. (Julia Luton, Kansas) 70) If you get chain letters through snail mail, send them a VIP Invitation about MPM. They already know how to advertise since they're doing it through chain letters, so get them involved in something legitimate that would be even better! (Alicia Bodine, New Jersey) "I have not had any family or friends sign up yet for MPM and am not sure why?! I believe it may be because they are all busy working outside jobs and don't know much about Internet business options. I hope that after they see that MPM truly works they will join. I don't want to force anyone!" ~Janice KhunKhun 71) Speak to everyone you see trying to raise funds. Ask them about their cause. Then tell them you work with a company that can help them raise funds. Ask for their name and email address. Let them know you will send them info by email. Be sure to tell them your name so they will recognize your email. (Regina Cintron, Florida) 21 72) Reply to other people's ads and let them know about My Power Mall. There are thousands of ads online that you can reply to. View the person's ad, then copy down their email address. Use a subject line such as, "About Your Ad" or "I'm responding to your ad." (Regina Cintron, Florida) 73) As you use the MPM mall more and more you won't be able to resist telling friends and family about it. Let it come up naturally in conversation. MPM is a wonderful gift to be able to give, especially to those you love and care about. Consider it as such and your excitement and enthusiasm will be contagious. (Sharon Dixon, Colorado) 74) When you speak to people, leave the hype behind. Keep it simple and honest. Focus on the other person. Talk about the solution to their problem, not on how much money they can make. Suggested text: Let me help you raise funds for college, your favorite club or charity, or any cause near and dear to your heart at no cost. Ever. It's simply not too good to be true. This says it all (list your domain name or URL or create a text link.) (Brad Gerver, Arizona) (A text link can be created by highlighting text, then clicking on the link icon of your email client and typing in your complete URL address – be sure to include http://.) 75) Consider sending out email messages to the same person every day for 4 weeks. Share email addresses/leads with your downline. Most people will not join a business the first time they see an email. They still might not if it keeps coming from the same person. But if the same email comes from different people, more people respond. (Linda Hales, Mississippi) 22 The following ideas will require a financial investment. 76) Use your favorite search engine and search for "paid to read" sites. This is a pretty inexpensive way to advertise as you can find sites that give packages out starting at a dollar or two that include links and banners. (Larry Dull, Indiana) 77) Go to BigDaddy.com and pay a very reasonable fee (around $5 a day for 1000 clicks) for people to go on your MPM business site to see what you have to offer. BigDaddyPays.com is a pay per click site. It doesn't take much to do this and you don't have to be computer savvy. The instructions are all pretty cut and dry. If you do have questions, there are people to help at FAQ on all their free and pay sites. Sometimes they offer cheaper prices. They also send you updates. (Reneé Dorval, Florida) 78) Get a domain name and start running free ads on the Internet. There are several stores on your Power Mall that sell domain names. Make it simple and easy to remember, i.e., YourDreamMachine.com, MakeMoneyWhileUShop.com, or CavemanProofBusiness.com. (Tim Collier, Indiana) I noticed a huge difference when I purchased my own domain name from GoDaddy.com on our MPM mall. It draws much more attention. (Jamie Acuff, Kentucky) 23 79) Place classified ads in Free local papers (like Thrifty Nickel, PennySaver, etc.). It will cost around $25. (Robin Hancock, Illinois) You can place your ad in the Help Wanted section as well. Use this same ad in emails and online: Hi we have had tremendous growth and are looking for an individual with computer skills, people skills, and Internet access to work from home. We will train you, we will provide you with a personal mentor, and there is absolutely no cost. Please go to: (your URL) to apply under the business section and watch your first training video. Once you apply, your manager will contact you within 48 hours to discuss compensation. (Thomas Byrne, New York) "Barter if you have something of value to offer. If you are great with graphics or writing ad copy, don't be afraid to ask for a banner placement on someone's site in exchange for your services. As you are surfing the Internet, when you come across a site with a guest book or a blog with comments, be sure to let them know what you thought about their site or blog post. Post a link to your site and ask for their comments." ~Tom Moore 80) Purchase 2 or 3 magnetic signs to place on the side of your car with My Power Mall information so people can go to your website and view the movies. The signs should also include your phone number so people can contact you for more information. (Amber Foster, Texas) Use a catchy phrase like "Finally a Way to Stay Home" or "I Get Paid to Shop Online: Ask Me About it" (Heidi Garis, Pennsylvania) 24 81) Send snail mail (an Invitation Card, flyer or letter) out to everyone in your address book. (Latasha Modeste, New Jersey) 82) If you sell on Ebay take advantage of the new format called "classified ads" where you can advertise any business you are trying to promote. (You CANNOT do this on the regular auction ads!) You are allowed to place a link or URL just as long as it relates to what you are promoting. It's a great way to advertise MPM and use the power of Ebay's marketing reach. There is a $10 per 30 day fee added to your Ebay costs. You can also post it for 3 months for $30. (Ken McDougal, Jr., Florida) 83) Use pay-to-email programs like Rent-a-List (they have great support by email and by phone), Take the Internet Back (excellent support), Full Submission.com (check out their affiliate program). Full Submission.com will blast your URL to over 3,000,000 places weekly as long as you display their banner on any of your websites, splash pages, etc. They also have killer page-view and banner display programs for cheap. They do all the search engine submissions for you so you don't get into trouble over-submitting. Their affiliate program is free and they have great support. (Brad Gerver, Arizona) 25 84) Don't overlook investing in yourself. Educate yourself with books on marketing and especially network marketing. Listen to or get a copy of "The Secret" and learn and practice the Law of Attraction. Become a better person and you will magnetically attract others to you and your business. (Lisa Medina, Colorado) 85) Use a URL rotator (like PageSwirl) and include your team members' URLs who want you to help promote their MPM. (Helping them helps you!) When someone joins your team, contact them by email or telephone and (a) welcome them, then (b) find out if they want to build a business. Add their MPM (or MPM domain name) to the rotator and then rotate the URLs about once a week so everyone gets some exposure for the MPM site. (Al Coburn, Ohio) 86) Don't make your personal website a passive one! Be sure to add a "signup for free information form" on your website. This will give you information you need to contact interested people. You will build a steady and reliable email list. (Monika & Wayne Thompson, Australia) And since it's your website, add several links and banners throughout. Put a banner on every page. (Coletha Browning, California) 87) Go to your Power Mall and get 250 business cards free (see VistaPrint). Put your domain name on it so people go directly to your MPM business site. (Tim Collier, Cloverdale, IN) To access the company designs and instructions for uploading, go to the Communications Forum (link to the Communications Forum is on the Home page of your back office). Once there use the Business Card link. 26 88) Promote My Power Mall on Traffic Exchanges. This is a FREE, no-cost or low cost way to share it. (Michael Coursey, Georgia) You can also upgrade to Pro if you desire. They also have a tracking site available at TrafficSwarm. (Joe Mina, Florida) Top Surfer and Hit Safari are also pretty effective. (Harry "Bill" Licht, Florida) 89) Put your ad on a billboard or city bus. Thousands of people will see you this way. (John Mocker, Arizona) 90) Create a shopping mall business card or invitation card. Get them to your shopping site and let them decide if they want to join MPM or not. On the front use a headline such as: Shopping Online, Save Time, Hot Products, Save $$, Convenient. On the back: Over 1000 stores to shop! Get money back through My Power Mall's Rebate System! Get your FREE Power Mall Today. For all the information you need to know go to: (your domain name or MPM business URL). This is also a business opportunity for anyone who wants to make money from home. Sign with your URL, email and phone number. (Joseph Mina, Florida) "An important thing to remember regarding my sharing MPM with others: understand that both TIME and MONEY are very valuable. You will have to be willing to give up some time and money to have any success returned to you. In the end you will have to be comfortable with the trade-off." ~Albert Terwilliger 27 91) Take out online SOLO Ads. A solo ad is effective because they are usually sent to your prospect's main email account instead of the one they typically use for junk or wholesale safelist mailings. Many times these email accounts are never opened and the emails never read. There is usually minimal monetary outlay and the return on your investment can be enormous because SOLO Ads are selected, targeted, unique and they are read! (Arthur Stephens, South Carolina) (Put solo ads as a search in your favorite search engine.) 92) Set up a website for your frontline team members. Include ideas from this ebook on your site so it's easy for them to find and use. Offer ideas on free resources. Post sample ads and email messages you and they have had success with. (Lorna Thurston, Idaho) 93) Send postcards via snail mail. Email leads at $1 each can be deleted at the click of a mouse and are gone forever. A good postcard that piques the receiver's interest, and lays around before being tossed in the trash can be cost effective. (Alex Mandossian suggests not putting the company logo on this kind of card. Mandossian has an ebook costing $250 but gives away the first 3 chapters for free and it has a lot of information in it. MarketingWithPostcards.com) (Missy Parrish, Arkansas) 94) Use professional mailers (as opposed to one-time mailings). The life or pro memberships do cost, but you can earn back your investment in a few months. Another benefit of professional mailers is there is no problem with spam complaints because they all require double opt-in and they record and file each member's information. (Don Pittwood, New York) 28 95) Be an example and shop regularly on your own mall. Tell others what you purchased and the perks you received (like free shipping, no tax, your rebate, etc.). Set up a journal page on one of your websites and notate your shopping "excursions." (Lisa Medina, Colorado) 96) Wear clothing with your MPM domain name on it (front and back). Wear it at your local mall or busy stores especially during holiday weekends. Just walk around and be a human billboard for your own mall. (Ken McDougal, Jr., Florida) Watch VistaPrint.com on your Power Mall. Every now and then they'll run a special for free personalized t-shirts (you pay the shipping). Use a catchy phrase like "Finally A Way to Stay Home" or "I Get Paid to Shop Online: Ask Me About It!" (Heidi Garis, Pennsylvania) 97) Go to a local print shop and get a sticker made for the back window of your car with your domain name in it. Red lights and parking lots are now your best friends. (Shelly Harris, Texas) Get blue (or an easy to see color) window stickers at one of your online stores. They are inexpensive and look great. (Tammy Martina Burks, Alabama) "The first thing I did was go to the moms sites, like momclub.com and let people who were asking about work at home opportunities know about My Power Mall. I went and put ads in my local newspaper and weekly shopper. I told family and friends, and even though I just got one family member, everyone counts. ~Barbara Watts 29 98) Hire a company that distributes flyers. The cost is very reasonable. Decide the area you want the flyer distributed to. Then you provide the flyers, the company picks them up and hand delivers them to the neighborhood of your choice. (John Mocker, Arizona) 99) If you purchase leads be sure the lead source company includes date/time stamp and IP information. This is protection you have against spam complaints. Also be sure that every one of your emails includes a valid method to opt-out of your mailing list. (Harry "Bill" Licht, Florida) If the leads have phone numbers, call them before sending an email. A possible script could be: "I understand you are looking for ways to generate cash working from home. Is that correct?" (Wait for an answer.) "I've found this great Internet business that is FREE! May I have your email address so I can send you my business link?" Then tell them the subject line in the email will say: "Information from ___, I spoke with you on the phone today" so they won't delete it. Send a very brief personal note. You might put a slogan under your message, something like Shop, Save and Share. (Julia Luton, Kansas) 100) Put an ad in your local newspaper. It can be in the classifieds or a full blown advertisement depending on your budget. Promoting offline as well as online will have its benefits! Don't neglect other offline publications (professional journals, periodicals, etc.) (Coletha Browning, California) 101) Online ads with Take the Internet Back.com can be very effective. For the cost of a nice family dinner out ($55) you can run an ad. Fifteen new members joined from just one ad. Make personal contact with each person who joins. (Barbara Patton, Arkansas) Another successful site is wahm.com (Robin Lynn Goddard, Kansas) 30 BONUS IDEAS 102) Create a distribution list of your team members (to get them shopping!) and/or people who haven't signed up yet and send them "teaser" emails about a special running in the mall. (Julia Luton, Kansas) This is easy because you receive a weekly store special as well as daily alert. And don't forget the Hot Deals section of your Mall! 103) Here's another email message you can use (change it with your information): Hello Everyone, Understanding Transfer Buying. Herein lies the SECRET to your success: "Transfer Buying." Simply use the dollars you already spend to purchase products and services from (wherever!) to your own MY POWER MALL. Then show others how to do the same. It's a simple concept that works and one that can make you filthy rich! My wife/husband/partner, __(their name here)__, and I enjoy shopping online because we can check out many different products in a short period of time. The time we save is used for more important things like going to the beach and watching the sunset. To Your Success, (Diana & Thomas Byrne, New York) 104) If you set up a mall for a child, make sure when you advertise it that you let others know it's for your son/daughter or grandchild, etc. Tell them you're using the mall to raise money for his/her college fund, medical expenses, etc. Include your child's name and age on your business cards and that it's a program for moms, non-profit organizations, children, etc. When you send a welcome email to someone who joins through your child's mall, tell them that very thing and introduce yourself and let them know you're available to help. (Lisa Medina, Colorado) 31 105) Google ads are effective. It can cost $.05 per click and the more clicks the higher the position on the page. (Kari Van Kleef, Wisconsin) 106) Place an ad every month with opt in leads. View it, not as costing money, but as an investment in your business. You need to get people to look at what you are doing or your business won't grow. Also, the cost is tax deductible. (Richard Jamieson, Maine) "The MPM business model is easy, simple, yet powerful. I operate multiple online businesses and offer MPM as a free gift to all my customers. Since MPM is free to join, a large percentage of my customers end up joining. I think MPM is one of the easiest businesses to build. You can simply give it away for free to everyone you come in contact with. ~Greg Konkel 32 Acknowledgement Page I want to thank each of the MPM 10+ Club members who submitted ideas for this ebook. They proved, once again, that they are leaders who understand that they "can't outgive the Universe." Take their ideas and words to heart. Al says, "One thing does need to be understood when advertising, either you have to pay with time or money." #1 rule. Do not over post... While it is ok to post to multiple cities at one sitting, do not post ads to the same city on consecutive days. Wait 3 - 4 days for your ad to drop off that city’s front page. Do your best to post in the appropriate category. Show the same courtesy posting ads, as you would expect if you were reading them. Posting in the wrong category is another form of 'SPAM' On most ad sites you will get a renewal notice by email after 45 days (or whatever their basic ad length is), at that point you can just click renew on the email they send you. Change your Headlines periodically. When people get used to seeing the same thing over and over they will train themselves to ignore what is common. So change it up and make your headlines stand out without over exaggeration. You do not have to sit for hours at a time posting ads. Find a site or two, post 5 to 10 ads, or set a time limit. Say 20 minutes a day. Before you know it you will have quite a presence out there. "Ok aren't you tired of typing out ads?" That was a question my girlfriend asked me. It's true I have placed 100's of ads, but in reality there is a simple way to post lots of ads and minimize the work at the same time. 38 (1) Type your ad, complete with 'headline', 'message', and link onto notepad or another similar program. Once you have done that, choose 'file' and then 'save as,' and give the file a name of your choice. When you choose the site that you would like to place your ads on, open your file. Most sites have a separate field for 'Headline' 'ad body' and your 'email address'. Some also have a separate 'link' field. (2) Now copy and paste your information to the appropriate fields. For single line entries like your 'headline' or 'email address' and 'links,' if you backspace the last couple characters and then retype them, that information should be stored there for later use. When you come back to these single line fields later, double click on them and you should have a list drop down for you to pick from. A Way to Welcome Your New MPM Members John Caperton sends this email out to his new members as soon as they sign up. (I have removed his affiliate information from the links.) John Caperton Email Messages Brad Gerver from Arizona does a lot of emailing. He has graciously provided several of his emails for you to use or modify. Of course, you'll replace his MPM information with yours. ☺ Dear ____, I realize dog rescue groups like yours all over the country struggle with funding. I proudly offer you a great solution. It's absolutely fr ee, too. It's called My Power Mall (put your domain name or MPM biz site URL here). You've never seen anything like it. It's quite literally "the perfect business." 40 It's not only perfect for every individual, but equally brilliant for non-profits, charities, schools, religious institutions, and any fundraising need. My Power Mall is available in all countries, too. The Owner/CEO, humanitarian dynamo Ginny Dye, created My Power Mall as part of her larger endeavor: "Together We Can Change the World" & "One-Child-At-A-Time." Her motto for My Power Mall is "Harnessing the Power of Online Spending to Change Lives!" Please click on the e-card below and listen to what Ginny has to say. You will be astounded. (Put link to your ecard here.) I hope you'll take a good long look at how this business can benefit you and your organization. Again, it's absolutely fr ee. Never any fee or hidden upgrade. It is quite literally much too good not to be true. This is easily the best business idea I have seen in my 30 years of experience. With all that Ginny is bringing to My Power Mall in September, and in the future, this business will take you to places of profit you have never been before. This truly is the perfect time to become involved, not only for your organization, but for you, too. __________________________ Dear ______, You really can raise funds for your favorite food bank, shelter, family, or any cause near and dear to your heart, at no cost. This says it all: (Put your ecard URL here.) 41 Many thanks. --Grant "Brad" Gerver, Flagstaff, AZ: Retired elementary school teacher, Political humorist, bumper sticker writer, Performing blues artist and songwriter, radio broadcaster: 928526-2741 _______________________ I included Brad's signature in this one because he feels strongly that the more information you share with those you are emailing, the surer they are that you're "for real"! The following email was sent to his MPM team to help give them ideas as well as a model to follow. _________________ I've also decided to start sending emails to student clubs, organizations, and other non-profits that center on brevity, quality and personalization rather than on quantity. I also hone and customize my message on the fly as I go. My search phrase was just this simple: women's charities. I haven't even gotten past the fourth of 2,100,000 results because it contained a bazillion places to contact!) Here's today's example: Subject line: Raise funds for Byron Story Students at no cost Dear Byron Story Foundation Youth Restoration Career Center, You can raise funds for your special students at no cost* at My Power Mall.* CEO/Founder and Humanitarian, Ginny Dye, built this business for folks just like you and me. Many thanks. 42 *Editorial Note: Brad does a text link in these 2 places for people to click on. There are 2 schools of thought about links in emails. (1) Include them and encourage people to use them. Text links look cleaner than including the URLs. (2) Include the URL and encourage people to copy/paste it to their browser. More and more people are hesitant to click on links in email because of Spyware, etc. Possible Solution: You could use the clean text links with an asterisk and then put the URL at the very bottom of your email with a note that if the reader would prefer not to click on the link, they can copy/paste the following URL to their browser. 43 Advertising Free http://www.bravenet.com/webtools/exchange http://www.lazzeo.com (Also see Social Networking, Business Building Tools) http://www.adlandpro.com http://www.directmatches.com (Also see Social Networking) http://www.freebizadsweb.com (Also see Business Building Tools) http://www.solo-ads.com http://www.classifiedsforfree.com http://www.MySpace.com/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.bizzyblogz.biz (Also see Social Networking, Business Building Tools) http://www.webclassifieds.us/index.php http://www.salespider.com (Also see Social Networking) http://www.entrepreneurs.about.com/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.Ojeez.com/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.Squidoo.com/ http://www.bizpreneur.com/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.cashcliques.com http://www.freeclassifiedsforum.com/index.php http://www.cmather.com/ (Also see Business Building Tools) http://www.craigslist.org/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.businessforum.net/ (Also see Social Networking) 44 http://www.ecademy.com (Also see Social Networking) http://www.epage.com http://www.moneydogs.com (Also see Social Networking, Business Building Tools) http://www.autosurfmax.com/ http://www.wahm.com/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.ablewise.com/?ref=MPMfounder http://www.autosurfmax.com http://www.backpage.com http://www.postaroo.com (Also see Social Networking) http://www.adworldclassifieds.com http://www.allnewspapers.com http://www.freeadscity.com http://www.oztion.com.au (Also see Social Networking) http://www.freeadvertisingforum.com/ (Also see Business Building Tools) http://www.selecttrackerpro.com Paid http://www.ebay.com Classified Ads http://www.solo-ads.com http://www.cashcliques.com http://www.rfn.rotatrix.net/index.php/public/signup/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.hits2u.com/ (Also see Business Building Tools) 45 http://www.autosurfmax.com http://www.allnewspapers.com http://www.submitautopilot.com/clickthru.pl?id=MPMfounder http://www.wahmteam.com/ (Also see Business Building Tools) http://www.moneymakingmommy.com/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.mymommybiz.com/ (Also see Social Networking) http://www.rent-a-list.com/ (Also see Business Building Tools) 46 Business Building Tools Autoresponders, hosting companies for webpages, opt-in list builders http://www.bravenet.com/webtools/exchange (Also see Advertising, Social Networking) http://www.adlandpro.com (Also see Advertising, Social Networking) http://www.freebizadsweb.com (Also see Advertising) http://www.bizzyblogz.biz (Also see Social Networking) http://www.trafficswarm.com/home.pl?
