Let’s Talk about Teacher +
Student Assignment
• Student + Teacher assignment is simply how many days the
student and teacher were enrolled in the same class.
• We do not take student absences into account.
• We do take teacher absences into account iff they meet specific
requirements.
• Total number of days enrolled divided by total number of days in
semester or school year.
• Do not claim 100% if the student or teacher were not there the
entire year.
Let’s Talk About % of
Instruction
• This column is determined by what % the teacher
contributed to the students performance on the
assessment.
• EC, ESL, or other intervention should be deducted from
the total %.
• For each day, week, or month, how much time does the
student spend with the teacher as apposed to the
interventionist?
• Time spent divided by total time available.
CLAIMING INFORMATION REPORT
Overclaimed and Underclaimed student reports are combined to show all
claiming information for a student.
What About Over/Under
Claiming
• It is acceptable to have an underclaimed student.
• Long term sub, teacher/student leaves/arrives during
the year.
• It is not acceptable to have an overclaimed student.
• If the overclaiming is within the LEA, please make
corrections by either/both parties.
• If overclaiming is not within 1 LEA, not expected to
make changes.

TEXT CHANGES
Text changes have occurred within Roster Verification.
Here, we’ll examine the old and new language.
TEXT CHANGES
Previously we referred to timeframes in Roster Verification as “windows” as in the Preview
Window.
Now, the time frames will be identified as “phase” as in the Preview Phase.
TEXT CHANGES
Previously, Approved was identified as the
“Verified” list or bucket.
The list still holds the same meaning in that the
school admin has examined the rosters and they
are accurate and awaiting submission to the
district level.
