Certificate in Workers Compensation
This 12-week program in Workers Compensation is designed to provide detailed foundation knowledge concerning this important coverage. The
curriculum identifies and explores how the various pieces of the workers compensation “puzzle” fit together, including history, coverage areas,
claims, risk management, and pricing, among others. This designation program, sponsored by The American Society of Workers Compensation
Professionals (AMCOMP) will use the AMCOMP textbook, Workers Compensation: The First One Hundred Years. The program is taught by the
book’s author and other specialists in the workers compensation field, and will be supplemented by an ethics guide. Students who complete the
course and pass an examination will be qualified for the Workers Compensation Professional (WCP) designation. The course fee includes the
cost of the textbook and course materials. The exam fee is supplemental to the course fee.

Actuarial Science Exam Preparation
The Center offers programs that provide the knowledge and skills needed to pass the SOA-administered national exams, with a thorough review of
the fundamentals of actuarial science and its effective application.
The fee does not include the course materials or exam registration fees. To register for the exams and to order books for these courses, please

Agents, Brokers & Adjusters Licensing Exam Preparation
We are approved to provide the pre-license exam preparation courses needed to sit for the broker/agent state examination. Students who are
exempt from satisfying New York’s 96-hour classroom requirement due to their professional experience should take the 28-hour cram course.

The professional designations conferred by the AICPCU/IIA represent an individual’s commitment to and standing within the insurance industry.
The Center’s courses include review sessions and are taught by highly experienced industry experts. Courses also offer CE credits. The fee does
