SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS FOR ATPL Age Knowledge Experience Flight instruction Skill Medical fitness Validity period Aeroplane Helicopter 21 years Knowledge Training and Test on: Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge, Flight Performance and Planning, Human Performance, Meteorology, Navigation, Operational Procedures, Principles of Flight and Radiotelephony - 1500 hours in aeroplanes (100 hours may be in FS) - 250 hours PIC or 100 hrs as PIC and rest co-pilot time as PICUS - 200 hrs cross-country of which 100 hours as PIC or PICUS - 75 hrs instrument time (30 hours may instrument ground time) - 100 hours of night flight Applicant shall be holder of CPL(A) Skill test as PIC of an aeroplane required to be operated with a co-pilot Class 1 Medical certificate 6 months 21 years Knowledge Training and Test on: Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge, Flight Performance and Planning, Human Performance, Meteorology, Navigation, Operational Procedures, Principles of Flight and Radiotelephony - 1000 hours in helicopters (100 hours may be in FS) - 250 hours PIC or 100 hrs as PIC and rest co-pilot time as PICUS - 200 hrs cross-country of which 100 hours as PIC or PICUS - 30 hrs instrument time (10 hours may instrument ground time) - 50 hours of night flight Applicant shall be holder of CPL(H) Skill test of a helicopter required to be operated with a co-pilot Class 1 Medical certificate 6 months
