Information Sheet – South West Golf Tour
Activity:
A weekend of full on golf! Touring down south, playing at Dunsborough Lakes,
Margaret River Country Club and Busselton or Capel Golf Course.
Description: This tour is open to anyone who enjoys playing golf. The focus will be on friendly
golf with some enjoyable competition structured around the tour group. We will play 2 rounds plus
9 holes on Sunday in a modified version of Ryder Cup team format. Based on handicaps (for those
that have an official handicap), two teams will be selected. EG: top handicappers selected with lower
handicappers to make team strength even. Blue team vs Red team over the weekend.
Numbers will be restricted; therefore if you have a friend that you think might be interested then get
onto them ASAP. As soon as the spots fill the tour is closed off!
Dates:
30th October to 1st November 2015– yes you will need to take an annual leave day
on the Friday if you’re not yet retired!!

seater bus plus enclosed trailer. Departing from Curtin Stadium, Kent Street
Bentley at 8:00am Friday 30th October
Accommodation: Share house, 6 bedrooms 3 bathrooms. Some will have twin share rooms.

Other Details or FAQ’s:
Weather; yes we will play if it is pouring down with rain. That’s just the way things are, so bring wet
weather gear and a golfing umbrella.
Do you need to get bus transport or can you bring your own car? – Of course you can bring your own
car or share transport - however the costings are based on minimum participants and these will not
change, so if you bring your own car you will still need to pay the full cost.
Can you stay elsewhere down south? – Yes of course, however the same concept and charges as
above apply.
You will not need to bring your pull cart as motorised buggies are booked at all courses. Please keep
luggage down to 1 overnight bag and your golf clubs as the trailer is not huge.
Can you come down on Saturday and not play on Friday or alternatively can you leave early and not
play on Sunday? Well, yes we can come up with a system of averaging your result over the weekend,
however it is structured as a team event and so playing all games is a part of the format, fun and
competition for the weekend.
Appropriate golfing attire, including golf shoes, will be expected at all clubs.
Any breakages, loss of bonds etc. due to accidents will be the responsibility of the individual
concerned and Curtin Experiences will not be responsible for any extra charges.
