This letter is to advise you about THE KEY, Study Guides (2015 Edition) published by Castle Rock
Research Corp of Edmonton. These resources are intended to enhance growth in student
achievement and I am pleased to inform you that we will be making them available for
student purchase. Castle Rock has also introduced the SNAP workbook (Science and Math)
– Student Notes and Problems. This workbook provides a complete explanation of
curriculum concepts and provides illustrative examples.
One of the strengths of these study guides is that all content is aligned with curriculum
outcomes identified by Alberta Education. As a result, students can use the resources to
prepare for unit and year end exams and also for the Provincial Achievement Tests in grade
9. Complete solutions in THE KEY indicate the problem solving method or rationale used to
arrive at the correct answer along with an explanation as to why the other choices are
incorrect.
THE KEY, Study Guides are used by many elementary and junior high schools throughout the
province and by high schools. They are also available at all Chapters/Indigo/Coles book stores
and other selected retailers at a cost above the one we are able to offer. Castle Rock is able
to supply these resources at a discounted price to our school - $20.00 per copy, including
GST.
