On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is with great pleasure that we invite you to attend and contribute
to the Inaugural Energy Future Conference 2014 from 3-5 November 2014 in Sydney, Australia.
The Energy Future Conference is the first global integrated Research/Industry Energy Conference in
Australia and aims at identifying energy needs specific to Australia and generate new research/business
opportunities to boost Australia competitiveness in the energy sector. The first edition of Energy Future
conference with specific theme on “Natural resources and energy – from fundamental research to high end
industrial application” will cover international advances from research to industry alongside an impressive
exhibition showcasing advanced energy technologies from renewables to gas processing and coal mining.
Energy Future 2014 will provide an excellent forum to generate and foster nexus between the scientific and
academic world to the policy maker, industries and the community to discuss solutions to the global energy
challenges that face humanity.
Energy Future 2014 will also provide a valuable opportunity for sponsors and exhibitors to promote
themselves amongst national and international leaders in energy technologist/industries. This prospectus

The conference is expected to attract more than 300 delegates, with majority of these delegates are
expected to be from Australia, Asia Pacific and a small portion of Europe and North America region.
Delegates will include but are not limited to anyone who contributes to the advancement of natural
resources and energy technology including scientist, engineers, academics, government bodies, suppliers
and manufacturers (industries), students and public.

The Energy Future Conference and Exhibition is unique event has been created to provide the platform for

The 1st Energy Future Conference will take place at the Colombo House, University of New South Wales,
Sydney. Colombo House is the newest venue at the UNSW. Flowing with natural light, the Colombo House
Theatres is the perfect space for conference and exhibition.
With access from High Street, the venue includes 3 tiered lecture theatres, 2 combine-able flat floor
spaces, foyer spaces and nice courtyard.
The conference program will also include tour to the Tyree Energy Technology Building, TETB, the new
home of energy research at the UNSW Australia and also where Australian Energy Research Institute is
based. This landmark, 6-Star energy-efficient building is a state-of-the-art powerhouse of world-leading
research, education and industry collaboration in the development and practical implementation of
sustainable energy technologies. The TETB’s laboratories support the ongoing research of UNSW
researchers in world record-breaking solar photovoltaic technologies, sustainable clean fuels, smart grids,
energy storage, energy economics and policy analysis. The TETB is also an educational hub for
undergraduate and postgraduate students, providing an optimal learning environment for the expert
engineers and analysts who will shape our energy future.
