Air Change Dehumidification Unit - DX or Chilled Water
The specialised ACDHUM range is designed to provide a more energy efficient and cost effective
solution for handling high latent loads.
The ACDHUM unit efficiently pre-conditions the temperature and humidity of the building fresh air supply.
The system is an ideal solution for situations where exhaust air cannot be recovered or used due to spill
air contamination, building pressure requirements or the practical constraint of recovering exhaust air.
Although it has been designed for hot and humid environments the ACDHUM is not only limited to that,
it can be effectively used all year round. During winter or mild temperatures the reverse cycle capability
provides efficient operation in heating mode.

How it works
ines
The ACDHUM system will cool and dehumidify hot and humid outside air to the supply air set point
condition. In the cooling mode (see schematic below) outside air (1) is pre-cooled and dehumidified
as it passes through the air to air sensible heat exchanger (2). The air is further cooled and
dehumidified as it passes over the cooling coil (3) before being directed back through the counter
path of the heat exchanger. This supply air is reheated to supply air set point temperature (4) as it
passes back through the heat exchanger and its condition can be precisely trimmed via the bypass
damper. The main source of energy efficiency is attributed to the heat exchanger, as only fan energy
