No Gymnast training with The NSW Academy of Gymnastics may compete, train or
attend any other gymnastics clubs, clinics, displays or courses without the permission
or signed clearance from The NSW Academy of Gymnastics.

PARKING: Please follow the instructions on the drive through. Enter at the entry (IN) sign
and exit from the exit (OUT) signs only.
Do not stop in the drop off areas for more than 60 seconds.
Do not block the drive-through area.

Do not park anywhere on the street in front of the houses or the driveways. You may
park in the street in front of the factories.
WARNING: The entry floor is very slippery when wet. No running at any time.
JEWELLERY: We request no jewellery to be worn to classes e.g. rings, watches,
bracelets and necklaces.
No child is allowed outside the Gym without being accompanied
by an adult. Parents are responsible for their children outside the Gym. Please explain to
your children that Bill or a coach will take them back into the gym if you (the parent) are
not there to collect them on time. You (the parent) will then have to come into the gym
to collect your child.
The NSW Academy of Gymnastics or its coaches are not responsible for any child who
is left at the Gym for more than the change over time, which is 5 minutes before and
after the set training times. The duty of care becomes the parents.
CLOTHES: All children’s clothing worn to the Academy must have their names on
them, especially Academy T/shirts and Sloppy Joes.<!--[endif]-->
Standing on chairs is not allowed in the waiting room, or letting your children behind
the chairs in the waiting room near the blinds. There is a $22.00 surcharge to the
parents whose child pulls down the blinds, as this is what they cost to have repaired.
All fees are to be paid in full at the end of each term for the following term or as
stipulated by The NSW Academy of Gymnastics
There are no refunds on fees.
If a child misses a class, there are no refunds and the child cannot make it up by
coming to another class on another day, as our classes are always full.
The cost of a 1hour Kinder try out class is $15.00. Cost of a 2 hour recreational try out
class is $25.00. This is to be paid at the end of your child’s 1st lesson in the gym.
To change your child’s class during a term there is an administration cost of $22.00.
Parents wishing to know more about the progress of their child/children through the
sport of Gymnastics or your child is progressing faster than normal and is getting bored
with the class they are in and want a bigger challenge or any problems what so ever,
please ring the Office 9525-6202 on office hours.

Parents please educate your children to ask their coaches if they need to go to the
toilet.

Children can bring water only into the gym (NO soft drinks, cordials in drink bottles or
food allowed).

The Academy complex is monitored and is under surveillance at all times for your
children’s safety and security.

There is no smoking on the premises including the drive-way. Thank you

Parents please read all other Rules that are on the walls in the waiting room at the
gym.

The Academy has all rights to video footage taken by the Academy in the gym complex.
(If you do not wish for your child to be videoed for the purposes of presentation days or
viewing by other people in the gym complex, or for promotional purposes,( please notify
us as soon as possible in writing)
INSURANCE: Brunzel Pty Ltd A.C.N. 092 445 175 as trustee for The Parsons Gym Academy

for your insurance, nor any claim if insured, nor where the parent has not asked for, or
sent in the claim form within 30 days of any injury, while being or have been a member
of The NSW Academy of Gymnastics.

PARKING:

available.

park in the street on the Gym side in front of the factories. Please don’t leave any rubbish
behind.
PARENTS IN THE GYM:
No parent, who has not been specifically authorised, is to be in the gym whilst Gymnasts are
training. (Except during class change over). Please note that change over is five minutes before
class is scheduled to end. There have been several instances where this rule has been ignored
and it has resulted in disruption to the Gymnast’s concentration. Gymnasts can, and have been
injured due to parents distracting coaches during classes. This will not be tolerated, so please
save both yourself and us the embarrassment of having to request you to leave in front of your
child.
COLLECTING CHILDREN:
No child will be allowed to leave the Gym unless they are accompanied by an adult. This means
that parents, or the person collecting the child will have to come into the Gym during change
over. Please do not encourage your children to walk to your car by themselves.
The NSW Academy of Gymnastics or its coaches are not responsible for any child who is left at
the Gym for more than the change over time, which is 5 minutes before and after the set
training times.
FEES AND PAYMENTS:
All Gymnastics Fees include GST.
All Fees and money regarding the Gym should be handed to Bill or Wendy and all cheques
should be made payable to The NSW Academy of Gymnastics.
FUNDRAISING (ACADEMY 1 FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE):
Your support with fundraising over the past years has meant that we have been able to stabilise
you child’s fees to a minimum. For people who have just joined the club, and for those who are
unaware, in each of our (4) terms during the year we endeavour to have one fundraiser. These
are of little cost to you if everyone co-operates. These events are normally: - Chocolate or
Lamington Drive, Dinner night and or Fashion Parade, Disco and a Sausage sizzle during
Parents week. If it is possible for you to participate in these fundraisers it would be very much
appreciated by all.
We thank you for supporting our 500 CLUB and ACADEMY 1 Fundraising events. We look
forward to your continued support throughout your stay with The NSW Academy of Gymnastics.
PROGRESS REPORT:
Any parent wanting progress reports on their children or any information whatsoever with regard
to the Academy, can ring the Office on Wednesdays between 9.00am and 12 noon on 95256202. Please do not interrupt the classes for this information.

For Competition Gymnasts, girls or boys, you will need to order professional Velcro Handgrips.

This can be purchased from Bill at $3.00 a block.
GYMNASTS REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE
All Gymnasts who train with The NSW Academy of Gymnastics, regardless of the club you’re
registered with, should be registered with Gymnastics NSW if a Competitive Gymnast.
If your child is registered with Gymnastics NSW they are automatically insured by Gymnastics
Australia through their insurance.
If insured, Competitive Gymnasts will receive a Badge for that year and we ask all Gymnasts in
all Competition Squads to have this Badge stitched onto the right hand side of their Academy
Tracksuit pants. Starting with the Registration Badge stitched at the end of the right pocket on
the front of the side seam, followed by their Regional State Badges and then their Levels
Badges, running them down the leg along the front of the seam.
Each year the old Registration Badge is to be taken off the garment and replaced, in the same
place, with the new Registration Badge.

PLEASE NOTE:
“If your child is not a competitive Gymnast, then it is the responsibility of the parents of that child
to stipulate in writing that they require Insurance cover under Gymnastics Australia. The parents
will be responsible for the cost of the Insurance. The parents will also be responsible to ensure
that the requirements of the policy in relation to claims is fulfilled, in particular, any claim must be
submitted to the Insurance Company within thirty (30) days of the injury. Claims lodged after
thirty (30) days of the injury could possibly be denied.
The NSW Academy of Gymnastics must be contacted and made aware of any claims within 30
days.
Competition Policy
Bill Parsons as head coach of The NSW Academy of Gymnastics has full discression to who is
selected to represent as coach or gymnast for The NSW Academy of Gymnastics in Womens or
Mens Gymnastics in any competition at any level in New South Wales, Australia or Overseas.
Privacy Policy
The NSW Academy of Gymnastics Privacy Policy is stored at our main office 38-40 Kareena

- You register to become an affiliated gymnast
- You register to become an affiliated technical member
- You enter a NSW Academy of Gymnastics event or participation program
- You participate in a NSW Academy of Gymnastics course

How we use personal information

providing services relating to: membership, education, events and merchandise.

The NSW Academy of Gymnastics stores personal information on a computer database. Your
personal information may be held in both paper file and computer file form. We have
implemented measures of a reasonable nature to ensure that all personal information about you
is securely stored from misuse, loss and unauthorised handling.
Accuracy of personal information
We take reasonable steps to ensure that whenever we collect, use or disclose personal
information that it is accurate, complete and up to date.
Access to personal information
You have a right to access your personal information, subject to some exceptions allowed by
law. If you would like to do so, you can gain access to your personal information by contacting
our Membership Officer or by writing to the NSW Academy of Gymnastics. Alternatively, you
may also advise us at any time about possible breaches of privacy, or inaccurate, incomplete
