Robertson, Ph.D., Associate Professor, English Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Course Description and Objectives In this course, we will read selected gothic tales from the eighteenth century onward and from a variety of cultural contexts. We will pay special attention to the social and political forces that surround each work, and we will look at other forms of the gothic in interdisciplinary terms—to include architecture, film, music, and art. Course Prerequisites Students enrolling in this course should have completed a minimum of six semester hours of 2000level English courses.
