WileyPLUS is required for this course. It is an online book (e-book) and homework tool.

Since WileyPlus includes an e-book of the entire text, there is no need to purchase a paper book.
Work on homework assignments that provide instant feedback and content-specific help.
All mth111/112 and mth251/252 textbooks purchased in the MHCC bookstore are bundled with a
WileyPlus Registration Code. Students also have the option of purchasing a WileyPlus code instead of a
paper book at a significant savings.
Students in mth111-W1(Online) will access WileyPlus from inside of Blackboard on the first day of class.
More information about Blackboard will be available on the first day of class.

1. On the first day of class: go to the Mhcc college website Mhcc.edu, find and click on “Online Learning”.
Then login to Blackboard using your student I.D. and your birthdate.
2. You can begin the registration process by clicking on any WileyPlus assignment.
3. As you register for WileyPlus remember to type the school name as, “MT HOOD COMMUNITY COLLEGE” in
capital letters. And also do not forget to enter your student I.D.

Use your registration code access WileyPLus.

You may wait to get a code later. Students have a 14-day grace period. A grace period begins
when a student clicks to start their grace period. Each grace period will be individual to the
student, based on when they entered into it.
If you get a registration code from the Bookstore, DO NOT LOSE IT. Students that lose their
codes will not be issued replacement codes.
One WileyPlus Registration Code covers both mth111 and mth112. There is no need to purchase a code for
each class. Similarly, there is one registration code for access to calculus mth251/mth252.
Do not purchase a used copy of the textbook since it will not include WileyPlus.
WileyPlus in the future will not be discounted.

If I already have a book, do I still need to buy WileyPlus?
WileyPlus is required for this course.
The least expensive option is to purchase a registration code directly from Wiley.
You will automatically be taken to WileyPlus when you click on the fist assignment inside Blackboard.

vv Textbooks purchased outside of the MHCC bookstore do not include WileyPlus. If you purchase your book
outside of MHCC you run the risk of having to pay full price for WileyPlus (that is a difference of almost
$90.00)!

Do I have to buy a paper book?
No. WileyPlus includes an electronic version of the book.
If you prefer to have a book made of paper to hold in your
hands, WileyPlus will allow you to print out individual pages of the book. You can also purchase a textbook in the MHCC
bookstore; it will include a registration code for WileyPlus.
If I don’t buy WileyPlus, can I still take the course?
NO.
WileyPlus is required in this course.
It is where each student will be completing reading assignments, quizzes
and their homework. Without WileyPlus a student will not be able to complete an essential part of the course.
Can I use my WileyPlus in future math classes?
Mth111 and Mth112 use the same book and therefore you need only one registration code for this sequence.
Mth251 and Mth252 also use the same book so the same registration code may be used for this sequence.
However, if you move from Mth112 to Mth251 you must purchase a new registration code because you are switching
books.
I have used WileyPlus in the past, do I need to buy another code?
A student that has used WileyPlus in mth111/mth112 and is repeating or restarting either of these courses may still use their
previous WileyPlus registration.
A student that has used WileyPlus in mth251/mth252 and is repeating or restarting either of these courses may still use their
previous WileyPlus registration.
However, when moving from Mth112 to Mth251, a student must purchase a new registration code because these courses do
not use the same book.
