Leadership Seminar Series. The full day Greatness in Leadership Seminar will feature in-depth
training from Doug Lipp, Founder of Disney U and Dan Pontefract, author of Flat Army.
Doug Lipp, Organizational Culture: It’s More Than a Coat of Paint

shares Walt Disney’s timeless company values and leadership lessons that help organizations

Doug Lipp helped create the first international version of Disney University, in Japan at
Tokyo Disneyland, and then led the training team of the Disney University at the corporate
headquarters of The Walt Disney Company, The Walt Disney Studio. Lipp consults with
numerous Fortune 100 corporations and travels the world speaking about the lessons he
learned at the Disney University.
Dan Pontefract, From ‘Command and Control’ to ‘Connect and Collaborate’
Dan Pontefract knows and understands what happens to organizations when employees are
unhappy and uncommitted. Dan enthusiastically reveals the connected leadership attributes that
help create a culture of collaboration, where employees can learn and become more engaged
and productive. In a workshop setting, Dan shows how the daily habit of “connect, consider,
communicate, create, confirm and congratulate” can drive engagement for business results.
Dan Pontefract is the Chief Envisioner of TELUS Transformation Office, a future-of-work
consulting group that helps organizations enhance corporate culture, leadership, learning,
work styles and collaboration practices. Previously the Head of Learning and Collaboration
at TELUS, Dan was responsible for the overarching leadership development, learning and
collaboration strategy for the company. Dan is passionate about leadership and social
collaboration technology spaces and is uniquely skilled to ensure an organization can move
from traditional culture to healthier ways of working.
