Students will benefit most from academic advising only when they accept a major responsibility for seeking timely advice. IPFW students have the following responsibilities: To be knowledgeable about university, COAS, and departmental program requirements. To consult with their academic advisor whenever appropriate and in a timely manner. To be prepared for all scheduled academic advising sessions. M.D. ANNUAL TUITION In-State............................$33,018 Out-ofState...........................$51,888 If you are a Biology Teaching Major you should discuss you plans and options with BOTH a Biology Advisor AND an Education Major Advisor (Jim Beard)there are special requirements in Education Starting your 2nd-3rd year you will be taking the Education Block of classes The shaded areas on the Bingos sheet are the required classes needed for Transfer to Purdue The transfer courses require about 3 years to complete since you need to finish pre-requisites prior to enrolling into some of the upper level courses- especially CHM 533 and BIOL 537 and one year of Calculus The entire Bingo sheet reflects courses needed to complete a Biology degree Manchester University School of Pharmacy Prerequisites somewhat different than for Purdue (i.e., only one semester of Calculus, ….) MybluePrint and Registration Registration Guides Click on registration: add/drop, then hit “search for classes”, then hit “advanced settings” Advanced settings will allow you to find classes that are approved for the General Education Area After hitting “advanced settings” scroll down the attribute type list to find the Designations for Gen Ed classes: A (1,2,3) and B (4,5,6,7,8) Click on one of these to enable you to find classes offered in each area Hit submit (section search) button Click on registration: add/drop, then hit “search for classes”, then hit “advanced settings” You can either click on specific subject area –ORyou can highlight all the subjects and perform an “attribute search” Attribute search: allows you to search for specific General Education classes that will full-fill specific areas If you highlight all the subject areas, then choose “attribute type” and hit “search” you will find all the courses in all subject areas that will fulfill the area requirements Honors Eligible????
