Purchase Barron’s Anatomy and Physiology Review Book, 3rd Edition (red cover)
1) Read and study Barron’s Chapter 2 & 3.
2) Answer all questions at the end of Chapter 2 & 3 using a separate sheet of paper.
Write (handwrite) all questions with the correct answers highlighted.
Research- You will be completing 2 separate research assignments. Staple each assignment
separately, as they will be collected separately.
1) Find 3 current events related to Physiology/Anatomy.
a. For each article, you must.
i. Print/cut out the article. (Make sure that the author, year, and source is
listed.) Article must be no older than April 2014.
ii. Answer the following: (set up paper in the format listed below, bullet
pointing each of the questions.)

2) Mitosis
a. Answer the following questions using complete sentences.
i. What types of cells go through mitosis?
ii. What ploidy does mitosis begin with?
iii. What ploidy does mitosis end in?
iv. What types of cells DO NOT go through mitosis?
b. Draw, label, and explain each phase of mitosis. Make sure it is neat, creative,
and colorful.
i. CANNOT use pictures from the computer.
ii. Must be done on 1 sheet of paper.
Due: Bring completed assignments on the first day of class.
