Speeches for the Class of 2015:
President:
Josh Davis: I'm Josh Davis and I am running for Class President for the Class of 2015. All I can
promise you is that with your vote, we can work together to make our time in high school the
best it can possibly be. We will use teamwork to raise money and improve class trips and
proms. I will put all my time and effort into making our class the best it can be. If we can unite
as a class, and put effort into fundraising and class activities, we can make a ton of money. And
the more money we have, the more fun high school will be. So please vote for me and thank
you.
Sincerely, Josh Davis
Caroline Hammet: Hi, my name is Caroline Hammett, some of you may already know me, and
some of you may not but hopefully by the end of my campaign all of you will want to (know)
me.
Every day we all go through our own day to day routine. Next year is a crucial year for us
to actually come together as a class. We are all looking forward to the upcoming events of our
best two years of high school. For example junior and senior prom, senior trip, homecomings
and graduation. The sad reality is with these events may come a lot of personal expenses.
One of my main goals as your class president will be to reduce all of our personal and
class expenses. As your president I will create more exciting ways to raise our class funds while
bringing everyone working together to do so. I would like to make ordinary fundraising fun.
Things like frequent competition days, tournaments, and other events all of our class will want
to be part of. By doing these types of fun fundraisers we will not only be raising the money we
need but create those best two years of our high school experience as well.
I will not be able to accomplish these things alone, but with your help and each of your
votes we can make this happen. Lastly vote not for popularity or for friendship, but vote for the
better choice, vote for Sweet Caroline.
Austin Kriews: Hey everyone, it’s Austin Kriews and I am running for President for the Class of
2015. Our upcoming year is a big one and it’s going to take everyone’s help to make it a great
one. With prom and payments for Senior Trip in the near future, I think it is best to have
someone like me leading our class. Fundraisers should be FUN and I will do my best to make
sure we not only make a lot of money but we have fun doing it. We are the largest class. We are
the smartest class. And we sure know how to have a good time. We only get one junior year,
let’s do it right. Vote Austin Kriews for President.
Vice President:
Kathryn Coppa: Who likes to lose when they’re gambling? Don’t roll the dice, keep Kathryn
Coppa at Vice. Two years ago, when I became your Vice President I vowed to give my best to
our class-which I think I have. In the process we have raised a lot of money, ran very successful
events and had a good time doing it. My goal is to get more people involved junior year. We
have so much to look forward to, especially the junior prom, where I would love to see
everyone be a part of it. I am one of the few candidates who have attended every class activity
and I will continue to do so. Please vote for me, Kathryn Coppa for Vice President, to have
another great year.
Tim Davis: Hi, I’m Tim Davis and I’m running for Vice President for the Class of 2015. The class
office is responsible for both fundraising and setting up for events like Prom and our Senior
Trip, and if you vote for me, I’m going to work as hard as I can to make these special moments
in your life as memorable as possible, thank you.
Taylor Kievit: My name is Taylor Kievit and I’m running for vice president for the class of 2015.
Junior year is one of the two most important and eventful years in high school and I know as a
student, I want it to be the most memorable. I’m running for vice president to make sure that it
is. In the coming school year of 2013-2014, as juniors, we will have many educational
milestones and of course, many fun events. As vice president, I will make sure every student is
prepared and comfortable with taking the HSPA and the dreaded SAT’s. I will also do whatever I
possibly can to help with payments for senior trip. And of course, I will listen to everyone’s
ideas and needs for prom and anything else. These past two years at Southern has been good
for all of us, but these next two will be great and as vice president, I will do anything I can to
make it the most effective and memorable junior year a student at Southern could have. So
when you’re voting, please consider me, Taylor Kievit, as your vice president
Secretary:
Jenna Dooley: My name is Jenna Dooley, and I am running for the position of Secretary
for the 2013-2014 school year. Junior year is an extremely important and memorable year in
our high school careers. Next year we will experience our very first prom, start to hand in
deposits for senior trip, and for some of us, start to think about what we will do with our lives
after high school. I know it seems like junior year can be a little chaotic, but with me as your
Secretary, I will be able to keep everything organized so that next year will go as smooth as
possible.
The Secretary of the class should be able to take accurate minutes of meetings, make
announcements for upcoming events, coordinate the planning of class activities, and assist our
class advisors and other officers on all activities. I feel that I have the qualities to accomplish all
of these responsibilities and will be an asset to the governing body because I am an extremely
organized person. I also see myself as a very friendly and easily approachable person. As your
Secretary I will be open to listen to any ideas that you have that will better the Class of 2015
and will then communicate your wishes to my fellow officers. If I become your Secretary, I will
be able to accomplish all of these tasks correctly and diligently while keeping the students
informed.
I thank you for your time and remember that if you vote for Jenna Dooley for Secretary,
your junior year will be a breeze!
Dylan Jinks: Dear Students of the Class of 2015, my name is Dylan Jinks and I am running for
class officer. I will be running for the position of secretary. I fully understand and I feel I am well
prepared to succeed in the position. If I am elected to secretary for the class of 2015 I will work
as hard as I can to make sure you have the best memories during your Junior Prom, Senior
Prom, and many of the other exciting events that are planned in the near future. Thank you,
vote Dylan Jinks for secretary for the class of 2015.
Sarah Paco: Hey guys, I’m Sarah Paco and I am running yet again for the position of Secretary
for the Class of 2015. Being Secretary this past year has been an absolutely amazing experience
that I will never forget. With the help of my fellow officers, our wonderful class advisors, and
especially all of you, we had several successful fundraisers such as Gertrude Hawk and the Gift
Auction that all the classes hold annually. This school year has given me the opportunity to
learn new leadership skills, and those skills and the experience of having the position will make
me a much more efficient Secretary than the other candidates. This next year is when our class
needs to come together and be our best, especially with our Junior Prom and preparation for
our Senior Trip coming up, and with me as your Secretary I know I will dedicate myself to make
those events the best they can be. I hope that you show your support by voting for me!
Remember: Sarah for Secretary!
Treasurer:
Chris Bajada: Hi,I'm Chris Bajada, I would like to be the treasurer of the class of 2015. I will do
all that I can to help my class to have the best prom and senior trip possible through fundraising
and participating in class activities.. Vote me and I will dedicate myself to the best of my ability.
Vote Chris Bajada for the treasurer of the class of 2015!
Jessica Lavell: Hi- for those of you who don’t know me I’m Jessica Lavell and I am running for
treasurer for the class of 2015.
I am up for and excited about the challenge of being your class treasurer. I pride myself in being
organized and accountable. I am not afraid to step up and place order on any situation. I believe
I would be a solid contributor to our team.
I know it won’t be easy but if you put your faith and trust in me I promise I will not let you
down! As we plan for and build our memories through our class events you can count on my
