When you register to receive your username/password, and you don’t see your school, click Other and type in your school name. 4. When you have your username/password from #3 above, go to http://wpslive.pearsoncmg.com/cmg_instructor_testgen_1/ and choose Downloads. 5. Login using the username/password that was sent to you. You will then be directed to the page below. Click TestGen Desktop Application. 6. Choose the applicable Download for you (Mac or PC) and install the application in your computer. 2 RMalones 10/20/11 7. It will ask for a proxy server, if you’re at home, you usually don’t need one. If you’re in school, use your school’s proxy server or tssproxy.broward.k12.fl.us and port: 8888 Click Continue. 8. Once the TestGen application is installed, for Mac you might want to drag the application to your dock or make an alias and drag it to your desktop for easy access. For PC, copy shortcut to your desktop. The icon looks like this: 9. Download the test bank. Scroll down the Resources page to here: 11. Click the green arrow next to Show Downloadable Files (the third green arrow under TestGen Computerized Test Bank for Human Anatomy & Physiology). This will open up the TestGen files for both Mac and PC. 12. Click one of these TestGen files. I have a Mac and the PC zip file opened up fine. After you download and open it up, you should have a file that looks like this called hap8.BOK 4 RMalones 10/20/11 13. Inserting your test banks. Open up your Documents folder in your hard drive. Create a TestGen folder in your Documents folder and 2 subfolders under that called Testbanks and TESTS. Drag the file called hap8.BOK that you downloaded under Step 12 into the Testbanks folder. It should look like this: 14. Open up the TestGen Application that you downloaded in Steps 5‐8. 15. The application will ask you if you want to search your computer to add the test bank title to the Testbank Library. Click Yes. This might take a while. 16. If the test bank is not automatically added in Step 15 (you don’t see the name of the book under Testbank Library, click (upper pull down menu) File, then Add Testbank to Library 5 RMalones 10/20/11 17. Find the test bank hap8.BOK from your Documents folder (you created these folders under Step 13) – under TestGen folder, subfolder Testbanks. Click Open. Your test bank should now be under the Testbank Library Click the reveal (triangle) next to the testbank name to open up the chapters. 18. Once the test bank’s added, you can create your tests.
