Phillips School of Real Estate at the University of Central Florida invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of lecturer. This non-tenure track position is focused primarily on teaching excellence, but also includes an academic scholarship component and service to the school and its Dr. P. Phillips Institute for Research and Education in Real Estate. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum qualifications include a doctorate degree in finance, real estate, or a closely related area (anticipated or in hand), and recent university teaching experience. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching and potential for consistent productivity in research. The ideal candidate would be qualified to teach finance and real estate at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preferred qualifications include real estate industry experience, ability to interact with industry constituents in the Southeastern U.S., experience with GIS and Argus software, and certification as an Argus instructor. Salary will be commensurate with experience. ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Dr. P. Phillips School of Real Estate is housed in the Department of Finance, which presently employs 21 full-time faculty members, including the Howard Phillips Eminent Scholar Chair in Real Estate and the Jim Heistand – NAIOP Eminent Scholar Chair in Real Estate. Our faculty members have a broad spectrum of research and teaching interests, and have published recently in the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, the Journal of Financial Markets, the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, and the Journal of Real Estate Research, among others.
