awareness of AccountAbility’s brand

deliver practical solutions for our clients. We are looking for an exceptional Intern in our London
office to support our growth in the UK and the rest of Europe by leading New Business Development
activities and by raising awareness of AccountAbility’s brand.
Job responsibilities:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT MANAGEMENT
 Support all aspects of new business development and client management activities
 Provide day to day support for new and current relationships working with the Manager to
provide high quality of service and maximise income
 Build a comprehensive prospects pipeline of companies in the UK and in Europe
 Conduct research for new prospective clients and write up research reports on Tier 1
prospects
 Identify right contacts, add in depth background general & CSR specific information on
companies, follow their updates on the news
 Email, cold call and schedule appointments between prospects and the senior Management
team
 Provide administrative support for calls and meetings scheduled
 Produce tailored briefing packs for meetings taking place in the UK and in Europe
 Support the preparation of pitch presentations and proposals
 Gather feedback from CSR Executives on topics of interest, priorities and challenges
 Maintain and update information on corporate contacts and organisations on the system
 Record, monitor and report on the interactions and development of new and existing
relationships
 Send weekly reporting email to the global team with updates on outreach and progress
against targets

AWARENESS RAISING &MARKET RESEARCH
 Provide help raising awareness of AccountAbility in the UK and in Europe
 Conduct research on the competitive landscape of CSR consulting in the UK
 Regularly check AccountAbility’s appearance in the news through Google Alert updates and
online search
 Identify networking events and conferences in and around UK where AccountAbility could
participate/speak
 Give support at Networking events and conferences as needed
 Write summary of trends and news on relevant topics from specialised websites and
organisations such as Guardian Sustainability, 2degrees, Ethical Corporation
 Conduct research on areas such as Materiality, Reporting or Stakeholder engagement as
needed
 Give input and update marketing collateral as needed
 Send weekly reporting email to the global team with ‘CSR breaking news and highlights’ of
the week
 Take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
PERSONAL SKILLS & QUALITIES
 Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to deadlines
 Ability to work as part of a small team, both independently and collaboratively
 Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Confidence in your ability to communicate with senior Executives over the phone and in
person
 Excellent online research skills
 Ambitious, enthusiastic, self-motivated, independent, quick learner
QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE
 Strong academic degree in sustainability and/or related work experience
 A demonstrable interest and knowledge of corporate social responsibility issues
 A commitment to the work and values of AccountAbility
 Fluency in English essential, with additional European language skills preferable
 Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
