The connections we make for students are in three areas: civic, cultural and professional. We work with 36 college and university partners, 50 arts and culture organizations, hundreds of employers and many of the most dynamic non-profit and civic groups in the city. Open Arts: A program unique to Campus Philly that leverages the region’s amazing arts and culture assets to engage college students, connect them to each other and to the local arts and culture community, and build the next generation of audiences for our cultural partners. Campus Philly seeks a creative, enthusiastic, entrepreneural program manager to operate Open Arts. This position reports to the Vice President of University Relations and Student Engagement. Open Arts includes the following components: Free membership program, open to all students at Campus Philly partner schools, allowing access to free and discounted ticket offers from local cultural venues. Partnerships with 50 local arts and culture organizations, whose venues, events, and tickets are listed on openartsphilly.com, introducing students to greater Philadelphia’s thriving creative community. Administration of openartsphilly.com to promote events to Open Arts’ membership, and additional backend management of the Eventgrid platform for ticket transactions. Initiation and coordination for special Open Arts College Nights, partner events with unique access for students and extra publicity and support from Campus Philly. Tracking and measurement of program’s effectiveness and impact, including student member growth, activity and ticket redemption. Responsibilities include: Maintaining and building relationships with arts partners to ensure students have opportunities to access the region’s most unique cultural events, identifying and cultivating great Open Arts College Night experiences, learning about partners’ interest in the college student audience and providing expertise to help meet their goals. Maintaining and building relationships with key on-campus staff – in schools’ residence life and student activities offices, as well as among faculty – to grow awareness of Open Arts and encourage schools to leverage the program for their students. Marketing and communications, produced in collaboration with interns and other members of Campus Philly’s communications and engagement team, to grow student membership, increase event participation and ticket redemption. Ensuring the smooth functioning of openartsphilly.com and EventGrid ticketing platforms; coordination with internal design and communications staff as well as external technology consultants. Recruiting and managing interns to support Open Arts programming and communications Attending and representing Campus Philly at regional cultural events, including those held by the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Arts and Business Council, etc. Coordination with Campus Philly program managers to connect across constituencies and ensure that Open Arts events and partners can take advantage of other Campus Philly opportunities including intern recruiting, My Philly Summer, CollegeFest and Create-adelphia events, marketing and advertising. Data tracking and analysis to manage and improve the program including identifying key user characteristics, and successful and unsuccessful marketing techniques. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Affinity for the arts and relationships within the local cultural community Marketing and communications skills, from the strategic definition of campaigns to execution via social media, email, in-person communications and presentations Strong program management skills, attention to detail, ability to track and keep projects on schedule, juggle multiple partner-relationships, collaborate with colleagues, and supervise interns Event planning expertise to structure Open Arts College Nights in collaboration with partners, cultural organizations’ participation in CollegeFest and other Campus Philly events Ability to work independently, to take responsibility for a project, be creative finding solutions as needed, and “own” project execution.
