Robert “Bobby” was born on August 1, 1951 to Paul J. and Belle (Edeline) Atkinson. He attended Poplar schools playing basketball all through high school. He graduated from Poplar High School in 1970. He then attended Billings Automotive Training Center. On November 19, 1973 he married the love of his life, Tana Loegering. Through this love they had three daughters, Stacy, DeAnna, and Chelsea. Bobby enjoyed fishing, playing pool with his brothers, dealing and playing cards. He loved driving bus for the Poplar schools. He always had a joke to tell and was always ready to tease. His biggest enjoyment was spending time with his grandkids and watching them grow. Robert C. “Bobby” Atkinson (Snoozer) went home to the Lord on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Poplar Community Hospital. Bobby will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bobby is survived by: his wife, Tana; daughters, Stacy (Les), and Chelsea (Cedric); a son, Kolt; grandson, Coy; granddaughters, Tauni, DeAnna, Samone, and Mylee; brothers, John (Lavina) Christian, Billings, MT, Tom (Georgia) Atkinson, Poplar, MT, Denver (Rose) Atkinson, Poplar, MT, and Jamie (Rhonda) Atkinson, Poplar, MT; adopted brother, Rusty (Claudia) Denny, Poplar, MT; sisters, Sissy Atkinson, Poplar, MT, Glenna Madden and Helen Brummell, both of Torrington, WY; sister-inlaw, Leta Atkinson, Poplar, MT; many nieces and nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, DeAnna; brothers, Darrell “Porky” Christian, Jack “JD” Atkinson, Davey Archambeau; sisters, Judy Mitchell and Letha Bible; and a niece, Tammy Atkinson.
