The Master 4-H Shooting Sports
Leader Training will provide leaders
with information on:
1. Age appropriate equipment
and activities
2. Risk management
3. Equipment storage
requirements
4. Teaching skills for classroom
and range
Firearms and materials for the
workshop will be provided. Safety
will be a primary concern.
Directions To Blue Mountain 4-H Center:
Take exit 261 off I-84 to La Grande. Turn right at stop sign
onto Island Avenue. Go past Wal-Mart into Island City. Take
a left at the light, cross railroad tracks and river bridge. The
road will make a sharp curve, but turn left onto McAlister
Road. McAlister Road turns into Hunter Road. Drive approximately 9 miles to End Road, turn left. Go approximately 50
yards and on the right you will see the Blue Mt. 4-H Center

Center for the whole weekend, May 15-17, 2015.

lodge.

Spacious 3300
square foot lodge.
Fully equipped kitchen and capacity to seat
and service 150 - 175 guests.
Lodge contains restrooms, showers and a
nurses station. Handicap accessible.
Unheated cabins,
ten with 12 bunks
each and 2 handicap
accessible cabins
with 10 bunks each.


under pines in the
shadow of Mt. Emily.



Amphitheater and campfire area.
End Creek crosses the North end.
Resident deer and elk herd.
The cabins are not heated, so bring your own sleeping bag, pillow, pad, toiletries, etc. There is no additional cost for staying over Saturday night so you can
attend the 4-H Trap Shooting Competition on Sunday or just want to enjoy the beauty and serenity of
the Grande Ronde Valley. Please let us know (541963-1010) if you are bringing additional people with
you.
