Proposal Subject: (One sentence overview of the proposal. Examples: change in title, prerequisite and description of NUR XYZ. Create new plan of
study in XYZ department, etc.)
Six elective credit hours are removed from the requirements for a bachelor's degree in Psychology (UGY). In addition, the General
Education Requirements for the degree have been modified to accommodate a change in the economics requirement. This document
was approved by the Psychology Program, and the Department of Behaviorial Sciences at their January 28, 2013 meetings.
Justification: (Explain the rationale for the proposed change.)
The General Assembly of the State of Indiana has mandated that the bachelor's degree not exceed 120 credit hours. The School of
Liberal Arts and Social Sciences has changed its General Education Core. ECON 10100 is now required rather than ECON 21000.
