Message from Executive Director & Secretary
Mr. R. T. Thomas
Change is inevitable, and also essential to the development of any individual,
organization, industry or nation. Change paves the way for future growth, and helps us to
reconsider and restructure our goals. Most of us are victims of complacency, and prefer
to maintain status quo rather than go through the painful ordeal of dealing with change,
which can be rather stressful. However, accepting change and adapting to the changing
world around us, perceiving change not as a threat but an opportunity or challenge, can
help us to attain success in all our endeavours.
We, at IIBM, believe firmly in changing with the changing times, and are constantly
striving to help our students to do the same. By updating and upgrading ourselves with
changing industry trends, the development of new technology and innovative ideas, we
make a conscious effort to ensure that every student who completes his or her higher
education from IIBM is well equipped to face the challenges and demands of the
corporate world.
3
Message from Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Alexander Cherian
Excellence, the pursuit and achievement of which is the tribute of the ignorant and the
imperfect man to the perfect being, the Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent God.
IIBM, in pursuing excellence, serves Man and the Divine.
Alexander Cherian has joined IIBM as Chief Operating Officer last year and is in charge
of development of IIBM curriculum and faculty. He holds an MA in Economics from
University of Kerala and an MBM from Asian Institute of Management, Manila,

Message from Director, Speaks
Dr. Sapna Modi
Indira Institute of Business Management (IIBM) was established in 2008 for providing
leadership in education and research. Today IIBM is a leading institution in Navi Mumbai
for management education.
IIBM is committed to creating an environment for nurturing innovation, creativity and
excellence in our students. We strongly support interdisciplinary research and
development for the benefit of industry and society.
The credibility of management education is a topic of discussion worldwide and all
stakeholders have expressed serious concerns on the relevance of pedagogic
approaches. The dilemma provides us an opportunity and challenge to effectively deploy
the KS I (Knowledge, Skills and Innovation) attributes in our pedagogy. IIBM curriculum
is thus made distinct, relevant and creative in a competitive environment. IIBM
continually looks to strengthen its position in the arena of management education, and
focuses on developing students to be leaders and entrepreneurs with character, integrity
and empathy.
I welcome you all to the VES family to explore and experience the journey of quality
management education.
