A maximum of 4 credits each count toward 120:
• SPH-I (formerly HPER-E) courses
• MUS “0” level courses
All required SLST-T 101 courses must be completed prior to
Admission; these credits do not count toward the 120 credits
required for graduation.
International transfer credits do NOT count for required BUS
courses (except if taken during an approved study abroad
program).
Required courses must be taken in classrooms or virtual
classrooms, within a semester framework.
The final 30 credits of the degree must be taken at IUB or in an
approved study abroad program.
All 300/400 level BUS courses must be taken at IUB.
A maximum of 6 supplemental credits may be taken in a selfpaced online, independent study, or correspondence format.
NO required courses may be taken in a self-paced independent
study format.

IUB GenEd courses must all be completed by graduation.
However, if IUB GenEd courses are also I-Core pre-reqs, the
pre-reqs must be completed before I-Core.
IUB GenEd minimum grades apply for satisfying IUB GenEd
requirements. However, if IUB GenEd courses are also ICore pre-reqs, the pre-reqs must be completed with
minimum grades of C.
None of the IUB GenEd courses may be taken in an
independent study or correspondence format.
Courses only count for IUB GenEd if they are on the lists in the semester
in which they are taken by the student.
At least 6 credits of IUB GenEd requirements must be completed on the IU
Bloomington campus.
