hosted by the
Centre for Intercultural Theology and Studies of Religion
University of Salzburg
The contested realities of migration in a glocalized world raise complex issues and call for a multi-dimensional analysis. The conference is dedicated to an interdisciplinary approach to migration and will engage perspectives from sociology, politology, discourse analysis, philosophy and theology. In keynote presentations, plenary discussions, group workshops and short paper sessions , the various points of view are analyzed as to their mutual implications, thus bringing an evolving theology of migration further on the way.
Call for Papers
The conference will have short paper sessions. Senior and junior scholars are invited to submit proposals that are connected to any of the various themes of the conference sessions (cf. programme).
A selection of papers is going to be published in a conference volume.
We welcome papers which tackle the multifaceted issue of global migration – and, more specifically, the construction of identities in migratory contexts – from different disciplinary backgrounds.
It is expected that papers should not last longer than 20 minutes .
Proposals (ca. 300 words) should be emailed by
