Louisiana State University- independent research Greenville and Clarksdale, MS “Public Art in the Mississippi Delta: Perspectives from Greenville and Clarksdale” August 2010-December 2010 Poetics of Place supervised by Dr. Miles Richardson and Dr. Helen Regis • Carried out ethnographic fieldwork in various locations throughout the Mississippi Delta. • Investigated public spaces and participatory artwork as modes of memory and healing. • Interviewed participants/authors and members of the community and conducted extensive literature review. • Drafted and pending publication.
