TEACHING STRATEGIES
This course is instructor-led and uses various learning strategies, which include lectures with
demonstration of procedures and illustration of concepts. The course employs student-centered,
problem-solving exercises in the lab assignment. Whenever possible, instructors should use realworld examples and scenarios for illustrating the objectives being taught.
Instructors may provide students with extra reading material obtained from the ITT Tech Virtual
Library and other sources. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the technical reference
material provided by the ITT Tech Virtual Library.
The lectures are based on the content in the course textbook. Each chapter includes exercises for
demonstrating concepts and procedures during class, review questions for in-class or homework
assignments, and case scenarios for group or individual application of concepts.
The lab assignments are based on the content in the course lab textbook. They are designed to
challenge students on the concepts and procedures covered during the lecture period. Students
will engage in hands-on, problem-solving exercises. The project will be a lab-based simulation
that incorporates several lessons covered throughout the course.
