Cleveland State University Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology The study of Mechanical Engineering Technology is a two-year upper-division program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology degree (BSMET). A Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology graduate is qualified to work in positions requiring the application of scientific and engineering knowledge and methods combined with technical skills in support of engineering activities. Many students decide to major in Mechanical Engineering Technology because the CSU program prepares them to be employed in a diverse range of industries including, industrial control and automation, aerospace, medical, computer, telecommunications, and defense industries. Most importantly, Engineering Technology prepares graduates to contribute immediately in these industries. Cleveland State University’s Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology program makes it possible for students to pursue a fouryear (baccalaureate) Electronics Engineering Technology major through a combination of coursework delivered via face to face instruction, interactive video distance learning and online instruction.
