My core expertise is on information integration, including query rewriting under
constrains, learning schema mappings, and entity linkage. I have research interests
in databases, knowledge representation, semantic search, semantic web, scientific
workflows, and biomedical informatics.
I have worked on a variety of application domains ranging from e-government
to intelligence gathering, to mission planning, to transportation engineering, to
geospatial data integration, under funding from DARPA, NSF, and other agencies.
In the last years, my research focus has been on biomedical/genetic data within
several large NIH-funded projects.
