Jeni Madsen Senior Recruiter, Disney Theme Parks and Resorts College Program Company Background: Jeni began her Disney career her sophomore year in college by participating in the Walt Disney World College Program. Realizing the impact that the College Program had on her life and knowing that she wanted to pursue a career with Disney, Jeni returned to Walt Disney World the following summer on the Advanced Intern Program. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Advertising, Jeni joined the Disney Fair as a Promotional Attractions Manager and toured across the United States of America bringing Disney to other parts of the nation. After successfully launching the new business venture into Asia and being awarded the Performance Excellence Award, Jeni joined ABC Radio Network Corporate Marketing team. While there, Jeni was involved with many different marketing initiatives, but her main focus was events. Her creative and innovative nature with the ABC Affiliate Conference won her a Creative Conference Award. Continuing down the Event Planning path, Jeni decided to return to Florida and assume an Events Manager position with Walt Disney Entertainment. In this role, Jeni traveled across Walt Disney World property and the United States with Walt Disney Entertainment, managing performers and costumers while executing special events. Missing Texas, Jeni returned back to her home state and joined the Radio Disney Network as an Assistant Manager of National Ad Sales On-Air Promotions. In this position, she negotiated over $300,000 in free prizing in Trade for Mention Partnerships; establishing partnerships with high-profile companies. In addition, she assisted the Ad Sales Team in bringing in over 27 million. After 2 ½ years of working in kid’s radio, Jeni comes back to where it all started….the Walt Disney World College Program! Today, Jeni is a Senior Recruiter for the Disney Theme Parks and Resorts College Program (formerly the Walt Disney World College Program) for 2 ½ years. In this role, she recruits students for over 90 different lines of business for the Disney College Program and Advanced Internship Program, while sourcing for professional positions. Her passion for the company and dedication to her students is conveyed in every aspect of her work. For that reason, she was recently nominated for Partners in Excellence, the highest award at Walt Disney World.
