THEME PARTIES
Best Sports City
Voted the “Best Sports City in the US” by the Sporting News in 2001, St. Louis offers Cardinal
Baseball, Blues Hockey and Rams Football. St. Louis is one of the unique cities that you can visit
and enjoy two and even three different sporting events in one weekend at certain times of the year.
Blues and Brews
Five minutes south of the Gateway Arch, the Soulard Neighborhood is home to Jazz, Blues and
terrific food. Music lovers wander among the clubs and restaurants for a full evening of pure St.
Louis entertainment. Or visit Laclede’s Landing and listen as music echoes off the cobblestone
streets and bounces between clubs and restaurants housed in restored 19th century warehouses. In
the Loop Neighborhood, visitors can walk between music clubs along sidewalks that are sprinkled
with brass stars and biographies honoring St. Louis’ most notable citizens.
Casino Night
If you enjoy playing a game of chance, then St. Louis is for you. There are six casinos in the St.
Louis area, two of which are in the downtown area.
Dine Under the Stars
Enjoy a catered dinner at the McDonnell Planetarium and then sit back and enjoy a night gallery star
show on the 80’ interior dome.
Explore St. Louis Under the Arch
Designed to celebrate all that St. Louis has been, currently is and will become, enjoy interactive
attraction exhibits and tempting tastes of St. Louis on the Arch grounds.
Mardi Gras
Join us in the Soulard Neighborhood to enjoy the second largest Mardi Gras parade in the United
States.
Progressive Dinner on the Hill
Settled in the early 1900s by Italian immigrants, the heritage of the Hill is known for its specialty
groceries and bakeries, bocce ball, tiny “shotgun” houses and fire hydrants proudly painted red,
white and green, the colors of the Italian flag. Most importantly, the Hill is known for its nationally
acclaimed restaurants from mom-and-pop trattorias to gourmet restaurants.
Rollin’ on the River
Located below the Gateway Arch, the Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher Riverboats offer a variety of
popular cruises. You and your guests can enjoy a 1-½ hour lunch cruise along the Mississippi River,
complete with Dixieland music and lunch buffet. Or enjoy a 2-½ hour evening cruise with live
entertainment and complete dinner.
St. Louis Blues at the Zoo
Jazz and Blues are familiar sounds in this Mississippi River city. When these sounds are mixed with
the growls of big cats and grizzly bears, it becomes an explosion of St. Louis Blues taking place at
the St. Louis Zoo.
St. Louisopoly
Play Monopoly St. Louis style. Walk this board game at the Edward Jones Dome and enjoy local
food, beverages and attractions at each square.
World’s Fair Theme
After boarding a bus at your hotel, visit Francis Field at Washington University, home of the 1904
Summer Olympics (the first Olympics held in the United States). Travel to Forest Park, site of the
1904 Worlds Fair – enter off of Lindell Avenue at what was the main entrance to the fair and visit
the Missouri History Museum. Continue past flowing lagoons to the St. Louis Art Museum,
originally the Fine Arts Palace at the fair, and visit one of the top 10 art museums in the United
States. End your visit at the World’s Fair Pavilion that commands a dramatic view of Forest Park.
Enjoy a catered lunch or dinner in this open air pavilion.
