Speaker Two- England owned the colonies until 1776.

Speaker Two- Many immigrants from Europe lived in the colonies.
Speaker One- How did the colonies make money?
Speaker Two- The colonists were farmers. They grew tobacco and cotton.

Speaker One- What was the name of the 13 colonies?
Speaker Two- The New England colonies were New Hampshire, Rhode
Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Speaker One- What were the middle colonies?
Speaker Two- The middle colonies were New York, Pennsylvania, New
Jersey, and Delaware.
Speaker One- How many Southern colonies were there and what were their
names?
Speaker Two- There were 5 colonies in the South. They were Maryland,
Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
