Compare and contrast Achilles and Hector. What do they have in
common? How do they differ? Answer: What Achilles and
Hector have common is they are both warriors, both were going to
fight in war, and they both their way ( treated fairly). Contrast:
Hector was stubborn and cared for only him self, Achilles cared
for himself and his people, Hector was on the Greeks side and
Achilles was on the Trojans side.
2. What flaws do each of the characters exhibit? The flaw that each
character had was that they were stubborn and all they cared about
was being loyal and powerful.
3. What are the role of women in Dis/Troy? Woman were to stay
home and do chores for the men while they were out fighting in
war and or working.
4. What is the importance of dreams in the story? The dreams were
important in the story because they believed it was telling what
was going to happen later on in the future.
5. Why does Patroclus volunteer to fight Hector in place of Achilles?
Achilles was to afraid to fight because if he died he would not any
one to bury him that's in his family because he has no one.
6. Why does Achilles choose to fight Hector? Achilles chose to fight
Hector because Hector killed Achilles best friend.
7. Describe the relationship between Aphrodite, Ares, and Hera. Hera
was the red head also known as Ares mother. Hera was on the was
on the Greek side but Ares girlfriend (Aphrodite) was on the
Trojans side. Ares had no idea who's side to chose. Aphrodite and
Hera began to try to bribe Ares to choosing someones side. Ares
was pressured.
8. How does Priam convince Achilles to return Hector's body to
him? Priam said “ I have your father’s sword so if you want your
sword then give me the body”.
