Year 2 – Beginnings – Autumn – Levels of Attainment Guidance LF1 Make a collage of the story for the display, retelling the story of creation. AT1 (i) L2 Write a creation poem. AT1 (i) L1/2 Sing a hymn or song about creation; e.g. He has got the world in his hands. Read and listen to What a Wonderful World create a story board using captions from the song/ book. Sequence the order of events from the above creation story. On pre printed card with ‘And God saw that it was very good’, add own ideas of the beauty around them. Collect together on notice/ pin board. AT1 (i) L1/2 LF2 Retell and illustrate your favourite part of the psalm and add to the display or collect illustrations into a class book. AT1 (i) L2 Write a new version of the psalm using the response ‘You love me and you know me’, using ideas from the previous session and Psalm 139. AT1 (iii) L2 Read the psalm again using “You love me and know me” as the children’s response. Consider reading as a choral AT 1(iii) L1/2 speaking presentation. LF3 Write a class / individual prayer to start the school day. Decorate it with appropriate motifs.
