Make a list everywhere the children looked for the tiger. List all the animals they saw on the way. 2. Imagine that you found the tiger. Write down what you would do or say to him. 3. Create a map that you would use to try to find the tiger. 4. Rewrite the ending of the story. Instead of having the children run home frightened, have them talk to the tiger. Introductions 1. Have pictures of animals on the table. Let the child sort them into wild and tame animals. Ask what animals they would like to run into the forest and which they wouldn’t. –Let’s read and see what animal they run into. 2. Ask how they would hunt an animal. Would you be afraid? What would you do with the animal when you caught it? Would you be brave if it was a tiger? Introduce the book. 3. Show pictures of tigers. Ask the child to tell you what they know about them.
