The Good Life Poster /40 Marks We all have ideas about what ‘the good life’ is, as do the characters we will meet throughout this course. No matter how different we all are, we all share a desire for a good life. In the following assignment, you will create a poster depicting your idea of ‘the good life’. This should illustrate your values. The poster should cover as many aspects of a whole life as possible. The can be on bristol board or a digital poster (Power Point, Prezi, Glogster, etc.) If you have another idea about the medium you want to use for your presentation, please ask. Content - consider the following: * where you will live * what type of job you will have * what you will do in your spare time * what kinds of problems you will have * what kind of relationships you will have * where you will vacation * what hobbies you will have * what type of furniture you will have * who you will spend your time with * etc. Your poster must: 1. Have ten pictures. 2. Cover at least five of the above categories. 3. Have a caption below each picture that explains how that picture fits into your vision of ‘the good life’ and why it is important to you. Each caption should be 2 – 3 complete sentences. 4. Be neat and organized with titles and sub-titles. 5. Be visually attractive. A couple more things: 6. You will present your poster to the class. Look at the audience, and speak loudly, and clearly. 7. If you are absent the day of presentations, you are expected to present upon your return to class. You must also have a valid reason for being absent. Note: there are limitations to the assignment. First, keep it realistic. You will not likely marry a superstar, and you are not going to become a king or queen. Second, keep it clean. Your poster must be drug, sex and violence free.
