Orange and Microsoft launch Orange TV on Xbox 360 with Kinect: a revolutionary new
TV experience!
From 17 April, Orange and Xbox 360 customers will enjoy a whole new home TV experience thanks to
the arrival of Orange TV on Xbox 360 with Kinect, the motion sensing and voice control technology.
The Orange TV universe will initially offer a selection of 30 channels (digital terrestrial TV, national
channels) and channels from the Extra, Sport and Orange cinema series packages (available to
subscribers to these packages). The offer will gradually expand to include new channels, including the
TV-on-demand service and the Orange Video-on-demand catalogue.
The Xbox 360 will offer enhanced TV features, including:
- More useful programme information in the Programme Guide
- The option to set personalised alerts to tell you when your favourite programme is about to
start and select your favourite channels
- Xbox parental controls to limit daily or weekly viewing times and control the type of programme
watched
In addition, you get all the special social features of Xbox LIVE. Rediscover television with the option
to use your Avatar, share your activity status, access your lists of Xbox LIVE friends or stay in touch
with friends watching TV thanks to voice or text chat.
To enjoy these features, you just need to be an Orange TV customer, have an internet-connected
Xbox 360 (with Kinect) with an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription, and download the free "Orange TV"
application to your Xbox LIVE account.
Once you have downloaded the TV from Orange application, all you need to do to launch Orange TV
from the Xbox interface is say "Xbox, Orange TV" to your games console and "next" to go to the next
channel. Orange TV for Xbox 360 is fully developed using Kinect technology so that you can control
everything using the Xbox 360 controller, your hand or your voice!
The strategy of deploying TV content on the Xbox 360 home entertainment platform is part of a multiscreen entertainment vision shared by Orange and Microsoft.
"We are delighted to welcome the Orange TV channels to Xbox LIVE. We are offering customers a
completely new way of accessing TV content, including voice controls thanks to Kinect for Xbox 360.
On 17 April, you can change the way you browse through your TV programmes for good, exclusively
on Xbox 360" says Marc Jalabert, Director of Microsoft France's Consumer and Operators Division.
This vision is also shared by Orange: "this partnership enables us to continue to expand our TV
offering on all screens and add the ultra-powerful interactivity of Kinect" explains Alice Holzman, Head
of Consumer Marketing, Orange France.
The Xbox 360 with Kinect video game and entertainment console will be available from
17 April in 34 Orange stores with a special money-back offer!
Customers who subscribe to an Orange broadband or super-fast broadband offer (LiveBox Zen or
LiveBox Star with Orange TV) between 17 April and 6 June 2012 on a 12-month contract will receive,
when buying the Xbox 360 4 GB pack with the Kinect sensor, a €119 refund on the pack and a free 3month Xbox Live Gold membership. The pack will therefore cost these customers €199 incl. tax
(instead of €318). This offer will be available in 34 Orange stores in mainland France¹ and at orange.fr.

France (Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Paris Champs Elysées, Paris La Madeleine, Bordeaux, Nantes,
Cannes, Brest, Amiens, Nancy, Reims, Rouen) to give visitors demos and guide them through the
new uses.
