Available to low-income students. Must be
a US citizen, a family adjusted gross
income for the calendar year 2005 of
$30,000 or less, demonstrate unmet
financial need of at least $1,000, have a
minimum GPA of 2.5 and be a high school
senior or graduate planning to enroll or a
student already enrolled in a fulltime
undergraduate course of study at an
accredited postsecondary institution.
Open to American filmmakers age 19 and
younger. To be eligible, you must submit
an original film (4 minutes maximum; DVD
or VHS) that answers the question, "Does
free speech matter?" The film can be a
documentary, animated film, experimental
film, music video, public service
announcement, etc. You must also submit
a narrative explaining your creative
process and ideas behind your work.
