Overview
Throughout this unit you will read and analyze a series of short stories. The following
are the goals of this unit:







Read short stories and respond critically to work
Understand writer’s craft
Apply understanding of literary terminology to analysis of genre
Use concrete examples to support ideas
Recognize themes and compare/contrast with further examples in other literature
Apply themes and ideas to an analysis of life experiences
Oral discussion of central ideas
