These will be first come/first serve or you can bring your own panels or leave your goats in the trailer or come Sunday for the day, as you like. But you will need to supply your own bedding…shavings NOT STRAW. Obviously there will be no pen fees! Let us know

AHEAD of time that you are coming and what you will need.

4) Raffle with a 50:50 jackpot!! Bring cash for a 50:50 jackpot drawing with proceeds going to awards for the wether jackpot!

WHEN: Sunday, June 22, beginning with market weigh from 8AM – 8:45. The market goat show is part of the Northwest High Point Wether Goat Series. Market show will start 9AM SUNDAY JUNE

22 followed by an ABGA show. There are no showmanship classes.

DIRECTIONS: At the local fairgrounds in Cottage Grove, OR , located on the north end of Cottage

Grove, very close to I 5. IN THE PAST, GPS DIRECTIONS LED AN EXHIBITOR TO HWY 99

AND UNDER THE TRAIN TRESTLE, PEELING ONLY THE TOP OFF HER TRAILER.

YOU MIGHT NOT BE SO LUCKY. Moral of the story, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE

YOUR TRAILER UNDER THE TRAIN TRESTLE! If you are driving South on I-5, get off at the main exit, # 174, go straight south onto Gateway Blvd in the right lane, take a quick right onto

Oswald, and follow the very small highway department signs to fairgrounds. Details are below following the **. Northbound drivers, the exit ramp loops around so you’ll be facing south when you stop. Turn to right to go back under the I 5 overpass, proceed to the light, turn left onto

Gateway Blvd but get in the right lane as you make this turn. You will go only one short block to turn right onto Oswald,** go to the “T”, where you will again turn right onto 19th. Stay on 19th as it curves to the left and changes names to Ostrander.

Now, PAY ATTENTION, because you will be driving through a neighborhood, and Ostrander ends at the railroad tracks. TURN RIGHT onto N Douglas. It is initially paved and later gravel for a total of .3 miles. You will pass the water treatment facility on right and will be driving toward Cottage

Grove Speedway. As of this writing, there is no fairground sign at that turn to follow! I’ll try to get a goat sign this year, but the point is that if you are wondering for more than ¼ mile, back up and start over. We’ll see you there

LODGING: The fairground has parking for campers, $20/night with water and electricity or $10/ night without. Portable toilet/no showers. No races Friday night. Racing has to quiet down by

10PM Saturday. IF YOU ARE STAYING ON SITE, RESERVE YOUR SPOT WITH DENA BY

CALLING 541 942 6150. SHE IS AVAILABLE AT THIS NUMBER 10AM – 4PM TUES AND

THURS. LEAVE MESSAGE ANYTIME.

If you‘d prefer a motel, there are 3 civilized ones very close. None are inexpensive unless you want to stay where Animal House was filmed. It hasn’t changed much! Otherwise, choose from 3 that are close and include breakfast. The Village Green Resort is an older remodeled motor inn, with on-site restaurant, huge rooms, windows that open, no upstairs, lots of open space, very nice gardens, pool, etc. Phone is 800 966 6490. Best Western is closest – right at the interchange. Then the Comfort

Inn is on Gateway nearby. Creswell is 10 miles north of Cottage Grove and sports a new Comfort

Inn and Suites, a remodeled Super 8, and 2 good eateries.(is all this detail necessary? Maybe you could just list the available hotels with a brief description).
