Each day, schools, organizations, and individuals across the country continue in an ongoing debate about Internet censorship. A number of organizations, including the
American Library Association, oppose the use of Internet filtering software programs. They claim that the school’s censoring of information is unacceptable; instead students should have unlimited Internet access coupled with strict teacher observation and guidelines. Others, however, are very concerned about the use of the Internet in schools.
They argue that the Internet has as much or even more negative information as positive and thus children should not have access even if filtering programs and acceptable use policies are in place.
 Should the Internet be censored in school classrooms?
 What outcomes would ensue given such censorship?
