Are you feeding the band?
Feeding the band is entirely up to you and you
should not feel obligated in any way to do so.
OK, that said, many- if not most all- people do.
Often it’s not the meal that the guests are
getting, but a sandwich, box lunch, or other
inexpensive meal. We’re grateful for anything!
CONSIDER: For an evening event, quite often band members are
leaving their house to come to set up in the early afternoon. They might
not get home until early the next morning. So they definitely need to eat
somehow one way or another. And a lot of people don’t prefer that the
band bringing in bags of food & sodas from some fast food place or
ordering a pizza - nor do they feel comfortable with the band leaving,
once they’ve gotten to their party, to go get something to eat.
