the five people you meet in heaven project based inquiry each character in the five people you meet in heaven has had an important interaction with eddie at ruby pier. using the text, create a booklet including each of the five people he meets. make sure you include a picture, their “story,” how they impacted eddie’s life and their rank of importance in eddie’s life. this will be like a mini-scrapbook. if you were in eddie’s position and were going to meet five people in heaven, who would the five people be? create a display of the five people with photos/pictures and at least half a page description as to 1) why you would be meeting them, 2) their rank, 3) their “story”, 4) how they impacted your life and 5) what their part of heaven would be like. eddie had a lot if impacting people in his life and developed a lot of memories in his time spent on earth. create a display of memorabilia from eddie’s life. you must include at least eight items that are representative of his life. with each item, please include an index card with a description of the piece of memorabilia and its relevance to eddie’s life. “this is not your heaven, it’s mine.” each of the five people eddie meets says this to him upon hearing their stories. many believe heaven is in the eye of the beholder and varies based on the individual. if you were to imagine your own heaven, what would it look like? create a visual of your heaven (picture, model, powerpoint tour, etc.) and describe the different aspects of it, explaining the significance of each of the traits of your heaven. the ruby pier was the “hot spot” during eddie’s youth. the author of the five people you meet in heaven gives vivid descriptions of the ruby pier, discussing each of the rides there, the location, the smells, the sights. create a model of the ruby pier based on the description from the novel. the model should be 3-D and accurate to the text. write a series of letters from eddie to each of the five people he meets in heaven. each letter must be at least a page typed (single spaced, no bigger than 12 font). there should be a letter to the blue man, the captain, marguerite, ruby and tala. each letter should include information and dialogue pertinent to the novel. write a book review of the novel for the hoof print newspaper. include a summary section, your personal reaction to the novel, testimonials from others and at least two photos/pictures. the review should be at least two pages long, double spaced, times new roman font in size 12. interview an elder of yours, discussing the following five lessons from the novel. in your interview, make sure you document the responses just as the speaker states them. using the information derived from the interview, write a paper/essay on the findings. you may do this in paper format, powerpoint, brochure, etc. as long as it is organized, neat and on topic. make sure to include the interviewee’s name, position/job, relation to you, date and time of the interview and a contact e-mail or phone number. make sure you quote the interviewee properly; switching around their statements is plagiarism! 1. “your voice will come. we all go through the same thing. you cannot talk when you first arrive.
