Altruism Essay

It can be said that one message from the story, Thank You Ma’am by Langston Hughes is
that altruism does exist. You will write a 5 paragraph position paper either in defence of
this claim or opposed to it. Use the many examples used in class to support your stance
and of course any example you found yourself.
The essay should be five separate paragraphs following the format outlined in class. Be
sure to include a hook and thesis in your introduction and make sure your conclusion
does not offer any new information.
Requirements:

Ideas page- outline the time spent brainstorming both sides of the issue. Selecting
your best points, and identifying ideas for them.

Rough copy- this must demonstrate time spent on refining, editing, and
improving.

Good copy- Typed, or written in pen. Error free.
