through the Internet.
Be aware that the library has no control over this information. Not all sources on the Internet provide
accurate, complete, or current information, and the library cannot monitor or be held responsible for
its content.
INTERNET RULES AND PROCEDURES
1. The Internet terminals are available from 10:00 to 8:45 Monday through Thursday, and from 10:00
to 3:45 on Friday or Saturday.
2. To use the Internet computers:
 You must have a valid Garden City or other Library Network library card. Patrons not
residing in a Library Network community must show a driver’s license or other valid form of
identification.
 Patrons must be in at least ninth grade to use the Internet computers without supervision.
Younger children may use the Internet with a parent or guardian. It will be the parent's responsibility
to monitor their child's Internet usage.
 The Internet terminals are available on a first-come, first- served basis. Patrons are required
to show their library card and sign in before using the terminals.
 Usage is limited to ½ hour when others are waiting.
 No more than two people may use the computer at one time.
 Leave promptly when your time is up. Be considerate of others waiting for their turn.
3. You may not use your own software programs on the library computer. This will help prevent
computer viruses that are common on public computers. Downloading to disks is also not permitted
at this time.
4. You may print from the Internet computer. Printing costs are ten cents per page, and print-outs
can be picked up at the circulation or reference desks.
5. Sign up for Internet time at the library reference desk.
