Animal Farm Class Projects:
As a class you need to have 5 – 6 of the following completed. You may work in groups,
as a whole class, or as individuals to create these projects.
1. Animal Farm Mobile: create a mobile to hang from the ceiling depicting various
Animal Farm characters or the historical references in the novel.
2. Animal Farm Movie Poster: you will create a movie poster complete with a list of
characters and catchy lines from the book. You may want to incorporate reviews
of some kind in the poster as well.
3. Newspaper Article: Write an account of what happened during the rebellion on
the farm.
4. Plot the major events of the story around a circle or on a bell curve showing the
rise and fall of the animals' hopes for a "better" society. (For example, Life Under
Jones, Old Major's Meeting, The Rebellion, The Battle of the Cowshed, etc.)
5. Animal Farm Ads: design advertisements that Napoleon might send out to other
farms to entice them to come to Animal Farm
6. Write a letter from Snowball to the animals on the farm after he leaves the farm.
7. Draw a picture or create a display of the farm. Use the descriptions and be as
accurate as possible.
8. Conflict: Create a graphic organizer that accounts for most of the conflicts in
Animal Farm. Make sure to include what type of conflict it is as well as whom is
involved in the conflict.
