Monday 21st may 2007
Everyone who was going to France meet at school at 0.30 .We
went into the hall with our parents and we talked about France.
We then got on the coach and got comfy for a long drive, then
we waved goodbye to our parents as we set off for France. We
chatted for a bit then we where asked to go to sleep as we
would be tired the next day.
ZzZzZzZzZz
We woke up and had a short stop before setting off again, so
we put on a DVD. When we arrived at Dover we had to wait for
ages before going on the ferry because they had to unload all
the cars and coaches and for them to check it. Whilst on the
ferry we had breakfast, went upon deck and went into the
shops, we also got a quiz book to do.
When we got off the ferry we set off (again). After a bit we
stopped for lunch .it was lovely, we got a sandwich some buns,
they had made before we set off. Then we got back on the bus
and after a few hours we where there. Finally we had finished
that long drive!! . When we got off we got our suitcases and
the people of the hotel, they where talking about how they
expected us to behave (but I did think they did really well at
speaking English).
Then we got to see our rooms. As soon as you entered you could
see the beach from the window. Whilst in the room we had to
unpack our suitcases, get ready for tea. And we watched who
wants to be a million aire in French but we did get some
questions right. Then we went down for tea that was yummy to.
We had water, sausage roll, chicken and chips and peaches.
Then we went outside to play for a bit.
We then went to sleep, a lovely sleep, in a real bed!
Tuesday 22nd may 2007
We woke up and got ready, paced our bags and then went down
for breakfast we had French bread ,cornflakes ,orange juice
and hot chocolate, then we went in the rooms got our bags and

We got off the coach and walked into this building , we then
walked into a room and saw all around us screens then the movie
started and we saw some calm bits but then bullets and loud
noises. We then went into a little store were we got some stuff
to reminded us of that place
The Invasion museum.
First we went to a big plan map and the lady told us a bit about
it. Then we saw some glass cabinets with the boats in (fake),
and then we watched some clips of the D-Day. Then we looked
at the stuff in the cabinets, whilst we looking, a man that had
fort in the war was talking about him self and the war. After
we had looked we went into a room were we watched another
movie about the D-Day and the war. Then we had lunch that
was very good When we go to the Invasion museum inside we
saw: on the walls and in the glass cabinets, lots of too.
The Bayeux tapestry
Then we arrived at the Bayeux tapestry, we gave the man the
tickets and then we picked a telephone and then walked into a
room, the telephone then a man’s voice started to talk about
the Bayeux tapestry and the story of William. I never thought
that it would be so long, but when we had finished and we were
walking back to the coach, Miss Brookbanks gave us all an ice
cream.

When we arrived it was really shocking there was lots of young
soldiers that had died, they was all sorts of ages 18,19,20’s,
30’s ecc . Sophie thought that she found her grandad and
there was lots of surnames there was Slater, Ward, Barber.
We then got on the coach to headed back to the centre.

We went into our rooms and got ready for tea the tea was very
nice
Wednesday 23rd
May 2007
We got woke up to get ready to start the day we went down
for breakfast (we had the same breakfast, as we will do all
week). Then we went upstairs to get bags and do our teeth. We
then got on the coach and set of.
The Museum of Peace
The museum of peace was a very big place. When we walked in
we immediately saw on of the planes that may have fort in the
wartime we had to wait for a bit and then we got in we then
looked at everything that was at the beginning but at the end
we had to go a bit faster. There was this room we went in that
anything you said it encode, that was there to say that Hitler
was a powerful speaker and could command lots of people to do
stuff and to obey his every command. When we were in the
room the slope we were going down went lower and lower ,and
the walls were getting more and more holes in them ,then we
just hade some walls with bullet holes, and writing on it, infact
on wall had some French writing on it and no one could figure it
out, so we said we would find out ,but we never did. Then we
came to a room were it had mostly writing everywhere but
some weapons, planning and old communication devices. But
then we saw a dress Right at the back of the room, the dress
was made out of a persons parachute that had been shot so
they made the parachute into a lades wedding dress. Once we
had finished the tour we watched a movie they had made and it
was really scary to see what them men did for us today, and
how many people lost there lives and the damage to the city’s
and countries were damaged because of the war and most
importantly that on very nasty, man, just one, caused all of
that.
After the movie had finished we went outside for dinner that
was very nice after we then went on the coach and set of for
the Boulangerie

When we had arrived we parked and went into a little old
house, we then heard some drums, there was a man sitting on a
box playing the drums he talked to us a bit first and then the
first group (which was me) went into a little room right at the
back he talked about the bread and how we were going to make
it first then he said “ are you all brave “we all responded yes.
So when it was our turn to give him the bowl, he gave us the
bowl with the things we needed in, then we had to shake the
his hand, but his hand was all sticky from the things in the
bowl. Then when we had mixed everything together we gave
him the bowl. Then he said that we would not be making the
bread that we just made we were having the bread that the
last school had made because, the bread was to be risen and
ready to be made in 5 hours. So then we moulded the bread in
to a Baggett and then went into the room we were in before, to
do a quiz whiles grope two went into make bread ones we had
finished we had another quiz then we went to watch the man
put the bread in the oven and then we went outside. When the
bread was ready we went into get our bread and said thank you
for helping us to make the bread and went back to the centre

Back at the centre we got ready for tea that was nice as well.
Then we went down on the beach for some games .We had the
choice of playing games or build a sandcastle then we got back
and went to sleep for the night.
Thursday 24th May 2007
We woke up and got ready, had breakfast then got on the
coach ready for Honfleur.

We got of the coach off the coach and went to a little place
were we could sit down. We had to sketch all sorts of boats
then we sketched houses and then we went to the shops we
wrote down all shop names .We then went down a little road
were we got a callipo and shopped for a bit. Then we meet up
and got on the coach.

When we arrived we went into a little part of the building and
we looked at some big bugs and were told little bit about them.
Then we went into a room with lots of butterflies and a little
pond with big fish in it so we walked around the place (it was
really hot in there) and saw lots of different kinds and colours
then we went outside because we had all looked then we went
into the shop to look around we then got on the coach. Before
we went back to the centre we went to a little town and saw
there was no shops so we headed back to the centre. That night
we went for tea and we then had a vote to see whether we
wanted to go on the beach or go to the disco so we picked the
beach then went to sleep as we had to do that long and boring
drive the next day
Friday 25th
May 2007
We got woke up really early in the morning and got dressed and
ready to go home and see our family. We then went down for
our last breakfast together and then went upstairs and got our
suitcases and took them down so the man could put them into
the coach we then went back in the room and checked if we
had got everything then we all got on the coach and left the
hotel and said goodbye to the beach and set off. Then the
teachers went into the shop and got some stuff for the French
night, Miss Day then let us sit next to anyone we wanted so I
asked Emma if she could so we could connect (on Animal
crossing). Then the teachers came back we then set of and
eventually we arrived, but we misted the ferry! We then had to
wait, so we had lunch and then got back on the coach. By this
time my Nintendo and iPod were not charged! So I did nothing
accept talking or sleeping. We then got on the ferry we had a
look up on deck and then went to a place were we could sit
down and talk, we also went to the shop and I got some
chocolates for me and my dad. When we got of the ferry we
set off for little chef and when we arrived we had a lovely tea
and then we did the best room and best table we got the table
prize but we did not get the room prize. After that we had a
toilet stop then we set off for home. Later on that night we
watched High school Musical for the second time that day and
at the ending of the movie we changed driver and got of for a
toilet stop so we missed the ending. Then we talked for the
rest of the night as it got darker and darker then they put on
them green light on and we were also told to lower our voices.
Then we arrived before we got off at 12:00 we got our E111
card and then went home after that lovely holiday away from
my brother!. 
